I think this game is going to be a big game for Bruce Irvin i predict he's gonna be blowing up running plays from the SAM LB spot with the power running on 1st- 2nd down and third down i think this is the week the Spinner package gets going I'm excited to have all the main pieces of the D back.

prediction: 5 tackles 2 sacks

I think Bruce will make some plays, but I think it's gonna be a game or two for him to get in the full swing of things.

Yep....I agree. Pete's pattern for reintroducing players back from an absence is to start slow the first game. I'd guess that he sees....maybe 12 to 15 snaps at most.

From injury, yes. From suspensions, they normally get back in there. Like Browner last season.

Ken Norton said that Irvin should be involved right away. Its not like he is coming back from injury, he's in game shape, and raring to go. Norton sounds excited for Bruce and Bruce sounded excited for Bruce.

It may not play out that way but I doubt they'll only play him at SAM, other LEOs without the rust can play their as well.

I think with the Colts playing power run first football that it will be a downhill game on first and second to stop the run. Bruce Irvin 2.0 will eat up TE's in the run game and rush the passer with more power on 3rd down.

>8 tackles
that is more than half the tackles he had all of last year, and you are expecting them in one game? If he does the change of position experiment will be a hugefor success.

I expect to see him in passing downs with his ears pinned to his back this game. 2 sacks! Then next game he will prove he is no longer a liability against the run and we will go from there. (not being a liability vs the run would be huge for Bruce)

for the record, I am a huge Bruce Irvin fan.

8 tackles, 3 for loss, 2.5 sacks,1 forced fumble, 1 pass defended.

So little faith in him? You forgot to add in the safety.

True, but I will say that Browner looked slightly rusty after his suspension last year. Hopefully Bruce can get going early and gain some confidence.

There's a very REAL chance Irvin becomes a star this year. Dude's free to roam a bit more and use that unique athleticism.

With Luck back there, we could use Bruce's speed.

I think they'll get Bruce in the game early...After one sack, he'll have his confidence back. It's not like he isn't a confident player already. He has the swagger to go along with the talent. I think he'll be fine.

Bruce Irvin at LB. Bruce will become the player that we hoped Arron Curry to be.

I am jazzed to see what the insertion of Bruce does to create opportunities for our other guys.

Bruce looked pretty good with his run fits in the preseason IIRC, I expect having him, Clem, Avril, and Bennett on the field all at once is going to be something special to see.
