Can you elaborate here? That's quite a claim and goes against everything else I've heard from press conferences, interviews, media analysis, etc. What did Pete say exactly, and why do you interpret it as "all but admitted?"
It was 3 high coverage and Hugh asked Pete if the safety was suppose to carry the wheel route in that situation like most defenses in that coverage would do. Pete tried to dodge the question but ended saying I won't answer that but I'll just say that wasn't how we intended to cover that play, when the discussion was about Adams.
It wasn't "my interpretation he all but admitted it." It was obvious and everyone on the show said he just admitted it, Millen included. I just agree with the conclusion.
Here.....you decide.

Oh you were just talking about Pete's press conference. I saw that, and it certainly wasn't obvious to me at all that Pete was "admitting" it was on Adams. To me it was clear that Hugh wanted to know who to blame, and Pete didn't want to thrown one of his players under the bus, regardless of who may have blown their assignment.
From what you've shared, someone with a clear anti-Jamal Adams trade agenda (Rob Staton) is regurgitating an interpretation by another person with a clear anti-Jamal Adams trade agenda (Hugh Millen), and you (not sure what your position is on the Jamal Adams trade but if I had to guess you don't/didn't like it) are interpreting it as "Pete all but admitted it."
Unless there is some other audio that I missed and you didn't share, IMO it wasn't obvious at all. It was obvious that Pete was protecting his player(s), which is what he should do, but it was not obvious at all which player(s) it was.
Logically, it makes more sense to me that a journeyman corner who has been with the team a month and is getting his first ever playing time with the team would be more likely to blow an assignment than a 3X pro bowler who has been playing with the team for over a year, but I'm still not going to draw any conclusions.
For the record, I stopped reading SeahawksDraftBlog because Staton has become so agenda-driven that it's become unreadable. Yes, I get that he's a draft fanatic and therefore he doesn't like it when we give up picks for players, but I'm tired of listening to him trying to prove he's right more than a year after the fact. I like listening to Hugh but
he is often guilty of drawing conclusions without complete knowledge and he's been called out multiple times by the players for being dead wrong. He'd do well to have some humility and admit that he's often drawing conclusions based on assumptions that he can't verify.
Lastly, Pete dodged this question, but he often dodges questions even when he's not protecting his players - why would he give other teams any kind of insight in to how they like to play certain situations? If he says "yes, we always have the curl flat player covering the slot carry the wheel route. That's how we do it every time." It's ridiculous to think he would want to answer that question, regardless of the players involved.
