Buy it with what money? Isn't she basically just the manager of Allen's estate? She has proved that she can be the Executive as she has made some really solid decisions as of late and one can tell she loves the team and fan base.
Is there anything that prevents that?
A quick search indicates her net worth to be 20 BillionBuy it with what money? Isn't she basically just the manager of Allen's estate?
I forgot about that. Say she purchases the team at 8 Billion…she still has 12 Billion AND the Seahawks! What sucks for her, is she has to sell the team, and donate the money.
I'm sure that's including things that aren't actually hers...like the Hawks, and assets that were earmarked for charity. I doubt she has anywhere near enough money to buy the team.A quick search indicates her net worth to be 20 Billion
That’s still far more than Cuban has. He would be upside down if he bought the team. He would be Marc Davis financially, but with Jerry’s ego.Poor girl. If she buys the team, she will only have 8 billion left in her account. I feel for the rich.
You can legally get around that through a court appointed master. Not that she'd want to.Doesn’t have the money and even if she did it would be a conflict of interest
It is going to a billionaire scumbagI would be absolutely thrilled if somehow LEGALLY she can buy the Seahawks with a 49% portion and have fans/investors donate for the other 51% to keep the team in good ownership. There's gotta be a way this can happen, right?
Sounds stupid but I don't want Jody to sell the team to some billionaire scumbag who might just ruin the franchise.
That is an interesting idea. and it could work.I would be absolutely thrilled if somehow LEGALLY she can buy the Seahawks with a 49% portion and have fans/investors donate for the other 51% to keep the team in good ownership. There's gotta be a way this can happen, right?

there is no scenario where fans 'donate' to own part of the team. NFL ownership prohibits more than 25 owners of a team. The Packers are the exception and grandfathered in since the 1960's as publicly owned. Any scenario where fans pool their money to buy some of the Seahawks is impossible and pure fantasy.I would be absolutely thrilled if somehow LEGALLY she can buy the Seahawks with a 49% portion and have fans/investors donate for the other 51% to keep the team in good ownership. That’s incorrect. She manages (technically is the trustee of) Paul Allen’s estate, which is valued at approximately 20 billion.A quick search indicates her net worth to be 20 Billion
