So much for running it back.

It wasn't lucky at all. They absolutely DOMINATED that SB. There is no asterisk. Only in your doom and gloom, everything sucks mind. I guess I just need to move on from this. I will never understand you or half of the stuff you say. They won the super bowl, and not only is it not good enough, but you also seem almost embarrassed that they won. To the point that you feel the need to downplay an incredible season, playoff run and SB title. What in the actual hell? If you suffer from some type of depression, I apologize.

You've proven my point, yet again.

Go Hawks

There's something that should be obvious to any impartial observer after this early free agent period: this is now the third-best team in the NFC West. Third-best coaching, third-best talent.

While the dynasty thing would have been cool, no amount of an inevitable short-term future of fringe playoff contention and picking 18th-20th in the draft will take away from how fun this past season was. Go Hawks.
I'm just glad that MM simply DOES NOT CARE what you think in regard to your egregious underestimations of the team and coaching staff that are very reminiscent of the media's 3rd to 4th place NFCW expectations of the team last year. Learning lessons is difficult.

This is great news.

So we’ve improved from the off season last year when many had us as the fourth-best team in the NFCW, fourth-best coaching, and fourth-best talent.

This guy a plant??? Can’t be a hawks fan or at least one grounded in reality.
I get being upset at losing guys you like and have rooted for, but John has shown the ability to find guys that are undervalued elsewhere. We also gotta figure that we are only going into Mikes third year… I believe it’s been mentioned that there’s still more to come from his scheme. There’s gotta be improvement just from having more time under his scheme as guys learn more.

It'd be easier to take you seriously if you weren't suggesting Aiyuk is a significant loss.

The Niners consistently do more with less than any team in the league. They won 12 games with a lot of their key guys hurt, and most significantly, they have, unquestionably, the best QB in the NFC.

Meanwhile, the Seahawks just had one of the luckiest seasons in NFL history, with nobody important getting seriously hurt, and winning a number of games off unforced errors by the other team (Steelers, Cards, Rams). These things have a way of regressing to the mean.
Green - 'correct'
Red - 'batshit crazy'
White - You might be correct/I don't feel like arguing

We definitely had some good fortune along the way (avoiding major injuries, the Rams losing to the Panthers, the ball bouncing into the endzone on Charbs's 2 pt conversion). Seeing a bunch of narrow wins and attributing those to luck, and then not acknowledging all our of losses were narrow losses (and "unlucky" with the logic here) is a choice.

Regardless, if anyone really believes the Seahawks will finish 3rd in the NFC West next year, put some money where that mouth is and offer a bet. If anyone really believe that's what's going to happen, they'll get paid to indicate they're not just attention farming with a Skip Bayless take.

I didn't suggest Aiyuk was significant. I just listed what we know about their free agency, so far.

It would be easier for me to take you seriously if Shanahan didn't make Mac Jones look like he had a legitimate chance of displacing Purdy last season.

Funny how unforced errors just seem to happen against good teams. We also lost, or had games kept much much closer than they should have been, due to unforced errors by our team. Those won't revert to the mean as well?

What kind of unforced errors did we make as egregious as the kick returner letting the ball sit in the end zone, the opposing kicker missing the landing zone, or not knowing the rules?

One of my favorite sports quips, which, incidentally came from a professional bowler:

The harder they work, the luckier they get.

Still waiting on YOUR list.

I’m being to think you post these ridiculous takes for the sole reason of getting attention?
I'm getting to it. I'm at work and responding to posts like Soulfish's unhinged quips is quicker than putting a list together.

Also note, that I'm actually responding and facilitating discussion rather than just telling the people debating my points that I don't give a rat's ass what they think. I don't say things just to hear myself talk.

I have fun with all of it. I don't mind being called out on my opinions, and I certainly have no problems calling people out. I expect it on both sides. And I certainly deserve backlash from time to time. To ME, the doom and gloom is hilarious. That's all.
Yeah doom and gloom is unnecessary this ain’t Cleveland Rocks
