Clearly not, as once we adjusted, he only got 64 more yards, no more big runs, and he was held out of the end zone. He got off to a great start. A full 26% of his output was on that first drive. Had he maintained the pace he was on, he would likely have nearly matched his 140 yard, 6.2 YPC output from last week's game against the Jets.
I was happy to see them make the necessary adjustments to minimize his impact on the rest of the game.
I understand that we watch the game with a different viewpoint. I'm watching like a coach, asking what we should change to increase our chances of winning this game, and what we might work on to increase our chances of winning future games. It's one of the things I really like the most about this current staff. They seem to see the changes that need to be made, and they don't wait to make them.
