It’s much improved but we still get one or two plays of like wtf were you thinking. Darnold played great the one interception by Ramsey was on him but overall I see a better unit offensively. Time of possession much better than last week and I’m still pissed we shit the bed against a real mediocre at best 49er team but we will still win 12 games minimum guaranteed. Go Hawks!!!

Same here. And I highlighted in bold what really irks me. The Niners aren't that good, and we should have beaten them easily. That game could come back to haunt us.

I'll be doing cartwheels if it happens, but I'm not sure about the 12 wins minimum.

4th and 1. Tush push with Barner. High percentage play. Because why not?

If they're going to call a TE or RB screen, do it on a different down and distance.

Hell I loved it and we need to just stick with what works. Barner is sure handed and physical at the LOS. Until they ban it, we need to abuse it

I'd rather have Milroe run the Tush Push. At 6'6", Barner's a little too tall, might not be able to get low enough or squeeze into a gap.

He went left yesterday and mowed over Pitts D line interior behind Zabel left side of Sundell gaped it then just finished.

What about that bonehead decision (in my opinion) to go for it on 4th and 1...WITH A PASS PLAY?

That resulted in the 2nd INT.

We had success doing the "grunge plunge"(our version of the Tush Push) so why not go back to it again?

OR if not, give it to Charbonet who can at least get us that tough 1-yard or Walker (who was on-fire)?

Bad decision by Kubiak.

Even if Sam converted here, it would've been a very questionable playcall at best.

Whatever. If it had worked and we got a splash play out of it we'd be singing his praises.

It's early in the season. We have to try shit like that so that it's on game film for the future. Tell folks we're willing to at least go for it sometimes. ;)

I completely understand and agree however I also feel like it was showing we can and will pass in these spots. Another thing for teams to gameplan for down the road. I do hope in the future they stick with the smashmouth run it down your throat in those spots. Just as I so often do, trying to find a reason for it.

They controlled and bullied Pitt’s O line. Williams was a monster and Derek Hall played like a man possessed

Easy to say in hindsight. I doubt you would say that if it worked.
Wow, amazing observation. EVERYONE would say good call if it worked.
You could say that about every failed 4th down play in the history of the league.
Doesn't mean 4th and 1 pass play is the smart choice.
They were running the ball well. What kind of a message does it send to your o-line if you can't trust them to get one damn yard?

Actually it was easy to say without hindsight.

4th and 1 pass attempt after you had success with the Tush Push earlier on, deserves a hearty "WTF, KUBIAK?" from many.

Kubiak was for the most part awful overall for the first 6 quarters this season. FINALLY he made some adjustments.

And I was one of the people who was excited about him as the OC.
