I'll just add that the above stats were against 572 snaps or about 50% of the available 2024 defensive snaps.

He only missed one tackle for the year. That's significant in a year where blocking and tackling are going to be a deciding factor in who makes the initial team roster.

A third point is that Karl Scott's pass defense is a lot different than what Griffin last played in for the Seahawks.
Good tackling DB’s is something this team can really use, maybe create some spark in Riq Woolen to start owning the field like he should

As I recall, it became a coaching point for Woolen during 2024. This year will shape his second contract. I think he's focused on the upcoming season. He's certainly getting all the support he needs from coaches and vets.

Vikings were a playoff team last year. This off season we took their starting QB and CB.

We were a 10-7 team last years, adding Vikings' stars, our floor is 11-6, aiming for 12-5.

Fire up 12s.
I mean yeah.

My point was he was part of a winning team and contributed so he can give us something here.

Teams with stars wins big games, having THREE pro bowl starting CBs fires me up.
Brings to mind that old song that said "I may not be as good as I once was, but I can be as good once as I ever was". Griffin is a former pro bowler, but here's hoping he can still come up with a big play when it counts for us now.

Which is kind of what you hope for from veteran role players. 🤷‍♂️

Was it my imagination, or did Shaq Griffin just have a pretty damn good game vs Jags? Like, way better than his first stint as a Hawk. Could have sworn I saw him make at least a couple kick-ass plays covering receivers.

Coach Mac mentioned him in the post game presser IIRC, and in a positive way.
