Some are natural at it (see Sherm) others have to learn it. I hope he learns it to the point where it’s automatic.
If he does and makes it a habitual thing. If he can get his head turned quicker it will lead to more passes defensed and more picks. I think he has the potential to be an all-pro if he can master that one thing. If not he’ll be a below average to average corner.
According to PFF last year he was one of the worst CB in the league.Scorpion05":2vknt9ru said:He's already a solid starting corner, he's just not Richard Sherman

Individual analytics sucks for football. Too subjective, no matter how you slice it.

Well blowing off statistical analysis for the mere matter "it sucks" doesn't suddenly make him the best corner in the league either. He sure didn't pass the eye test last season either. I would not have guessed him as the worst, but certainly button half of the league.

Yeah, because I was certainly saying he is the beat corner in the league. Thanks for noticing that. I thought it might fly over everyone's head.

That wasn't my point. My point is it says nothing.

As a Seahawks fan I've seen a lot of bad starting corners, a lot of average starting corners, and a few excellent starting corners.
Watching a ton of games around the league, I see all three.
Based on last year, I would put Shaquill firmly innthe middle group. Considering injury and position change, hes got a chance to get better, but I dont believe based on what I've seen that he will ever be excellent.
Shaquill is a bang average NFL corner. Hes got some strengths and some weaknesses, but putting it all together, hes average.

Now there is a good and fair post on where he may actually stand compared to others. 8)

Pff still sucks.
As of 2019, PFF provides customized data to all 32 NFL teams, 62 NCAA FBS teams, 4 CFL teams, national/regional media
