Well, if I fly down for the game I'd probably take a few days to head down to San Diego, Coronado Beach, etc. That's the dilemma. If I could afford both, I wouldn't be torn about it

I think I would have to make the trip down. He wouldn't appreciate the 12th man and wouldn't have fun in general watching his team get ruined (again) and you don't want to hear the excuses fresh on his mind on how important Crabtree is or that they were just dumbing down the playbook to not tip off playoff opponents.

Plus you will have a cushion in the event that any given Sunday happens and we don't win. But the idea of sweeping them and being there for it is something special. No amount of crying or excuses would be acceptable. You could strait up bitch slap him for it.

End result, after the game in Seattle it will still not be resolved and no matter the outcome someone is going to be upset so your fun evening will get a bit dampened. No matter the outcome in Ninerland, it will likely be resolved by then so you can still have fun after the game.

It's 500 miles / 9 hours to drive up to SF. Flights are only $100+ each way if you book enough in advance on Southwest. Not sure what the gas cost is for 500 miles, but that is a long drive.

It is nice here in December.

If you are given any opportunity to leave the northwest for Socal (or Vegas,AZ,Mex) after August you do it. No question.

I make a point of it every quarter to go get some sunshine, even if it is just 3 days.

Ah, those were the days. Jogging down the beach past the the Hotel Del Coronado on my way to the Amphib Base gym for a workout, then back to NAS North Island. I miss that year-round awesome weather.

Candlecrap Park is a cesspool. Great tailgating prior to the game, and as has been mentioned, possibly the worst place to watch a game in the league.

My wife and I are flying to Seattle round trip on Jet Blue for $397 for both of us for the SF game.

The smell at the stick is so bad that it almost takes the enjoyment out of the game watching experience. if you don't mind the 40-year-old stench of urine and the a-hole Niner fans, go there. I would think seeing thousands of sad Niner fans would be awesome.

on one hand I don't want a 49er fan in our seats. And I would love knowing a seahawk fan was in one of theirs. Plus it would be your last chance to visit candlestick if you had never been there. the weather there will probably be better. It will also be later in the season so it could mean much more is on the line than when we play here in week 2.

On the other hand, candlestick is a real toilet. Their fans are not the best in the league like ours are. For the most part they make noise at the wrong times and when they get a first down they all make some dumb unintelligible barking noise. The minute anything goes wrong or there is a bad play they trash-talk their team and disown the players. the game up here will be a prime-time home opener, and it will probably be for the early lead in the NFC West (arizona plays @Rams and Detroit, Rams play AZ and @Atlanta). Plus only being week 2 the weather here should be pretty good still.

Given the choice of the Clink or the 'stick....I'd take him to Seattle...and thats coming from a Niner fan.

Next year might be different when the new building opens, but the only thing thats good about Candlestick is it's history...which you won't give 2 sh*ts about. ;-)
