Yeah, I'm not sure it would change anything much. Would make the game more fun to watch. Pre-season games are usually pretty vanilla and sloppy.

Depends on how he does it, but I think it's pretty unlikely unless he's taken a massive leap.

And should the 2% happen and he does excel, we'd have Waldron to thank and his system/fit for him

...these unfinished thread titles?
I only clicked because my guess-finish-completion was:
..."tests positive, immediately following Geno's positive test"

Steelers had good showings from #1, #2 and #3 QBs. Obviously, still early in pre-season, but it gives a team a lot more flexibility to have a young promising QB pushing a vet.

There's a reasonable argument that the #2 QB spot could be up for grabs here in Seattle if Eason shows some promise. Who would populate a 3-way competition in pre-season and camp 2023? 1)this year's starter, 2)a drafted rookie 3)a Free Agent similar to Matt Flynn 4)Eason if he shows promise this pre-season and wins the backup spot?

Fun to think about, but this thread is likely irrelevant in a few hours....
