What if, with LV holding the number one pick in the draft, Kubiak passes on selecting Mendoza? Kubiak has had an entire season with Jalen Milroe in his QB room teaching him his system. What if, he really likes Milroe and sees him as a more ready QB for his system? What if he wants to trade with the Seahawks for Milroe? The Seahawks got him in the 3rd round so with Kubiak knowing Milroe, a trade compensation would have to be higher than a 3rd round pick. How about that pick at the top of the second round for Milroe? The last pick of day 1 and the first pick of day 2 could be fun.
All I’m saying is that Milroe is more of a known commodity to Kubiak than Mendoza. The Raiders could get a massive haul for that number one pick considering the dearth of top QB prospects in this draft.

Never say never. When Mike Holmgren came to the Seahawks he brought with him through free agency the Packers backup QB in Matt Hasselbeck. Milroe is more of a known commodity to Kubiak than Mendoza.

You mean "Super Bowl Champion Jalen Milroe"? Milroe actually ended up on an ESPN list of potential QBs teams might try for. Funny there was no mention of Lock.

Not to be Cliff Clavin, but he actually traded picks for Matt. So yeah, never say never.

He traded back in the first (and still got Hutch) and gave up a third. Pretty good deal for us.

3/2 Traded 2001 first-round pick (#10, DE Jamal Reynolds) and 2001 third-round pick (#72, LB Marshall Torrance) to Green Bay for QB Matt Hasselbeck and 2001 first-round pick (#17, G Steve Hutchinson).

We can dream but I haven't saw anything impressive of Milroe so far whether in preseason or in college. He's never stood out.

Wyman was talking yesterday about the possibility of trading Milroe prior to the draft. The second rated QB in the 2026 draft is Ty Simpson from Alabama. The same Simpson who couldn’t beat out Milroe at Alabama.

Darnold has at least proven he can be the starter at QB for the Seahawks. Lock has proven to be a viable backup.
Milroe? In a draft light on QBs? In a draft where the Seahawks have very little draft capital?
Don’t be surprised if a trade for Milroe transpires.

If the Hawks trade Milroe, I would hope it would be at the VERY least a low 1st rounder. That's the possible QBotF for our team, this year's QB class is weak, and unless MM/JS and now the newly hired BF have a QBotF in mind in this year's draft to train and mentor, I would hope the Hawks wouldn't trade Milroe.

Also, from the limited games I saw, Sanders played better than the other Browns QB's and seems more respected in the locker room among them. Browns would be dumb to trade him so early right now, but Browns will be Browns so who knows.

I think the only reason Kubiak took the LV job is because of Mendoza. WIthout Mendoza, he's just setting himself up to fail.

That would be the single dumbest thing a new HC has ever done in the draft
I don’t know. Is Mendoza so great that should take him and then let him get smashed behind a crap line and always have to play from behind cause of a crap defense? I thought Mendoza was pretty good but nobody is gonna have fun in Vegas. Maybe Kubiak rolls with Geno and they can net a big haul for that pick
