Smelly McUgly" I would gladly take 1-1 on this road swing to the Midwest said:
Both are beatable, and we are the better team in both match-ups - but I agree. We could go 2-0, but this is the most difficult 2-game stretch on our schedule for many reasons, not the least of which is the 10:00 start times... making 0-2 a possibility.

We should win both, but if we can split the next two weeks, we should still be in the driver seat in the NFC West (and probably on track for a bye).

no reason we shouldn't be 5-0 after this road swing. we're better than both squads on both sides of the ball. if the O shows up and the D plays their typical bend don't break defense we win two close ones... Not saying we will, saying we should.

Gotta go 2-0 on this trip if we want to get to 16-0.

I think it can be done.
I like the mindset. Before this week I would have said loss against Houston and win against Indianapolis. Now I expect the reverse (1-1 split regardless). Indianapolis is passing Houston by, much like we have concerning San Francisco.

After now watching both Houston and Indy play the last few weeks I really don't expect us to lose either game. In fact I don't even expect either to be really competitive after the 1st half of each game.

Favored by 3? Should be closer to 17 points. Houston doesn't stand a chance.

This is going to.be a much closer game. We'll see few if any 5-7 step.drops from Wilson due to Okung being out and McQ gong up against Watt.

We'll be looking at a lot of roll outs, and 3 step drops, running and a heaping helping of defense.

Good thing Andre Johnson and Foster are dinged up.

I would put those two pretty much on at the level of Atlanta's WR corps And Hopkins is ignored at your peril. This will be a nailbiter and Wilson better bring it because Houston's defense is no joke.

Only Jacksonville has given up more points than the Texans in the AFC (vs Chargers, Ravens and Titans).

Road favorites in Houston? I am as big of a Hawks fan as any. If I was betting money on this game, I would bet the Hawks to lose a close one.

Houston is a dangerous squad. Very dangerous. Aside from the Niners in SF, this will be their toughest test IMHO. Bigger than Atlanta.

I'll take the hawks and bet you some money. Im sure you are one of those fans thinking the Jax game was a "trap" game. PM me if you want to put some money down.

Gotta get the split in these next 2 games. I know they are capable of winning both, but these are 2 solid teams, and w/out Okung, and the way RW has been running for his life vs. good pass rush Defenses, it wouldn't be a shocker to see a loss in one of these next 2 games. Starting off 3-0 is going to pay off huge for this team in the end imo. Just my own opinion, but I think Houston will be a much tougher game than Indy.

This game should come down to the wire regardless who takes it. Fully expected them to blow out Jax, but this game should be a huge road test. I'd like to see them start out fast for once on the road, not sure why they take so long to get going, but it just seems like on the road they almost always sluggish in the first half.
Wouldn't bet one red cent on this game either way. Way too close to call.

I seriously believe the Hawks are past previous history and road bugaboos. This team is different.

The coaches and the players themselves know how to prepare, and good preparation leads to better excecution.

Once they become a good road team, consistently, they flat out will be the best team in football.
In fact, I think they already are the best team in football.

Boy i hope you're right. Hard to let down the fence when you been bit in the ass so many times over the years. But maybe we do finally have what we've all been waiting for since 2005. I real SB contender.. dare to dream.

Real SB contenders win road games, if this team can go 5-3 on the road, that would be huge imo. Winning that game at Washington last year and almost pulling off that huge win in Atlanta should go a long way for this team in the coming weeks.
As good as this team is, and they are flat out a contender, the O-Line still needs work.
