I'm not judging one way or the other, but he was a free agent signing so that potentially negates a 27 comp pick, correct?
I think that depends on the contract. For a 1 year player, I don't think it does because Woolen isn't getting us a comp pick.

I can't comment on this player because I don't know who he is. He's been in the NFL but really never heard much about him.

I didn't know that Nashon Wright, Bears, was a FA. He just signed a 1 yr $5.5M contract with the Jets. That would have been the guy I would have gone for. He's the ballhawk type that this defense would absolutely thrive with. Especially if teams try to avoid Spoon's side.

Doesn't mean a guy won't be a good player for us. The strange "I've never heard of him so he sucks" phenomenon.
Didn't say he sucks. All I said was I didn't know who he is. One interception in 5 seasons for a starting CB is not very impressive.

Int’s are the most overrated personal stat for DB’s. Takeaways are a great team stat, but defensive schemes and int opportunities don’t always put players in positions to make those plays.

Similar to sacks. How many people judged Murphy’s production his rookie year based on sacks. His pressure rate was always elite, but overlooked by those who only look at the box scores.

Good point about interceptions but he's only had 17 PDs in 5 seasons. So that isn't great either. With that said, hopefully he puts it all together here with the Seahawks.

Doesn't instill any confidence as the Cowboys released him and their secondary has been terrible the past few seasons.
Which could mean that Cowboy's coaching staff sucks at evaluating and using talent. ;)

As long as it’s a one year deal worth less than 2.1 million then it does not cost a compensatory pick according to the google search I just did.

Yeah, if he makes the team great. If not it definitely wont count against comp picks.

Interesting addition, this player looks like a guy who needed a fresh start.

He's not Wollen in terms of physical talent though he's no slouch. I bet there won't be any motivation issues though.

I suspect there will be more than a few others before JS is done.
