. A day after he was released by the #49ers, Surratt lands elsewhere in the NFC West after fielding multiple offers for a spot on an active roster.

Love seeing Wright made it to the PS. Hopefully Pili clears waivers and he gets on there.

Looks like the entire 2025 draft class is safe now for the time being. A couple guys from last years class, OL Leumea and Jerrell gone.

*Seems like* we're abouts 85-90% set on the 53 and practice squad.

So both Running Backs of consequence (Martinez and Wright) are still with us.

Good.

I would've been annoyed swooped in and took them.
I couldn’t believe people saw Martinez during the pre season, and got worried teams would snag him to their active rosters. I think he can be good, but he has a ways to go

My point is the fact that he CAN be good.

But I just want him to become "good" AS A SEAHAWK and not as a player for another team.

Fans always over estimate how good their prospects are. Every year I hear the same shit. "So and so is gonna get snatched up! He'll never pass waivers!" Over 90% of the time, they do pass waivers and end up on a practice squad, either here or elsewhere. Rather rare for players to not pass waivers, since the claiming team has to take them on the active 53.

LB Chris Paul Jr from Rams to practice squad. Traded up 29 spots to grab him in the 5th round this year. The snipe alone is enough to make me like this move. 😃

You're welcome. Obviously there's some potential there for him to have been a 5th round pick. He had a niggling injury in camp but ultimately he got beat out by a UDFA for ILB4. He went unclaimed and apparently the Rams weren't keen to have him back on the PS, (not a culture fit and/or upset 1 of the coaches). I didn't read the camp reports but I watched the preseason games. He took some bad angles, couldn't shed blocks, and generally looked like a rookie that wasn't ready for the NFL. He's a project for 2026.
