Can't say as I know the guy, but he at least looks like a decent depth/fill in guy. For now, I'm fine with it. WR have been overpriced lately, so I'd rather seek out a "star" WR in the draft, say Rd 1/2 maybe, though we have other pressing needs, obviously.

The reason we got a 2 from the steelers for DK even though he wanted a MASSIVE contract was because no great WRS hit free agency. If they ever do they will sign an enormous record setting contract.
We just got a needed element added to our team on a very reasonable deal. It's a good signing if you view it for what it accomplishes and what is available.

The team needed a vet WR, they got one. On a ONE year prove it deal. As a Hawks fan you should know that one year deals have worked out several times over the years. IF it doesn't work out, cool, you don't have a long-term commitment. IF he balls out, give him a new deal.

My point being is that the constant whining if they don't go get Justin Jefferson, Walter Jones or Aaron Donald on day 1.
EVERY time we sign someone, it's IMMEDIATE whining. Just gets old, that's all.

And who said he's special? I'm just saying they needed a vet WR, they got one. They have a need, they addressed it. Not EVERY signing has to be a Future HOF or All Pro. FFS, I love you guys but you drive me insane.

I get what your saying Soul, but you can't get upset with people saying meh when it's a meh pickup. Nobody's upset that we signed him, but nobody's ecstatic about it either. Pretty much how it should be I would think.

Dude, I WAS JOKING. It pretty much is a meh signing, needed a WR, they got one. I have no big expectations of the guy. Hopefully he contributes next year. I deserve to get the crap right back, and I'm good with it.

Cool.

He’s a good deep threat for us to open up JSN and the run game. Also in just under half a season with Kubiak he had 385 yards and 4 tds last year. I’m not saying he’s going to come in and get 800 and 8 tds, just Kubiak likes him and knows how he wants to use him. WR2 will come from the draft.

I wish they could get Cooper Kupp but price, injury history and him maybe one last shot at a contender may kill that vs hometown discount. Ultimately the best seahawks receivers are usually ones we've drafted and developed. So i'll wait and see what we draft

I've spent the past hour since this news broke tirelessly putting together an all-encompassing list of all his strengths:

1. He's fast.
He’s 6’4”

Yeah, well Kubiak better figure out how to get some stick-um on his hands without getting caught.

This about sums it up. Great comments. You're right, he'll be familiar with the offense. Let's hope he gels with Darnold who is also familiar.
