WR Justin Veltung was released.

At 5-8 and 194 pounds, Holley finished 2012 with 142 carries for 740 yards and seven touchdowns, including an 83-yard run. Holley averaged 5.2 yards per carry.

Weird...That link has a YouTube "highlight" link but if you watch, it doesn't really show anything special.

With Turbin still out they needed another pure TB for practice purposes, so no surprise.

What I think I see is a fiesty back making positive yardage against a disruptive defense front. A lot of fight.

Here is a link to highlight video >>> [urltargetblank]http://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=RB+Ray+Holley&view=detail&mid=F46BF5DCA7E149B934E7F46BF5DCA7E149B934E7&first=0&FORM=NVPFVR[/urltargetblank]

I bet he's brought in to compete for kick/punt returner. Fearless, fast, full speed forward. Looks the part to me.

Doesn't hurt to hedge their bets if they need to carry another RB due to Harvin not being available. Otherwise, most likely just camp player because of the amount of info missed from OTAs and mini-camp. FO never stops churning that bottom part of the roster.

Nice write up and presentation here >>> [urltargetblank]http://www.fieldgulls.com/2013-nfl-offseason/2013/7/28/4565390/seahawks-sign-rb-ray-holley-waive-wr-justin-veltung[/urltargetblank]

Looks dangerous as a receiver in the second video included in the above link.

Okay, I'll start it off here -> HAH-LEE, HAH-LEE, HAH-LEE, alright, that's enough for now.
Caught another one on that last link, SCHOFIELD?

The Seahawks will cut more than a few good players this preseason, so I'm not even going to sweat it. That said, I never really bought into the Veltung signing. Greg Herd looked way better, and anything bad you could say about Herd you could say the same about Veltung. Thankfully Seattle eventually signed Herd anyway, and he's actually survived on the roster longer than Veltung has, so it's worked out. Herd is a super longshot to make the roster, I think the most he can hope for is a PS spot. But Seattle really likes spending PS spots on WRs (and they like to call those WRs up to the 53 man during the season, too), so he's got something to play for.
