Yeah I have never been totally sold on Lance but at least Purdy makes the loss of picks palatable. I think Darnold will likely be backing up Lance to start the season. Darnolds base salary like 2-4 million? Lance sunk costs over after this draft. It’s never been his potential or possibility for me, it was execution of the simple things

It’s only over if Lance plays poorly. They have way too much invested in him to not let this play out completely. There isn’t nearly enough evidence yet.

and wasn't that a mistake? the very next game vs seahawks shanahan runs him power up the middle, then boom, out for the season. he isn't built like josh allen or cam newton.
