My friend said take him. He throws darts. From any angle. He is a SF fan but I trust his judgement.

I don't see a significant win difference with Darnold over Howell. I don't think Howell is the answer, but I'd rather give him a chance as well as draft Jaxson Dart, trade for a player like Joe Milton, or some other possible diamond in the rough.

Meaning, don't invest $$$ needed to build the Defense, the Oline. Build where there are strengths to be had and don't try to force something with players they don't see as a possible true solution with players that more than likely will not work out and make fans miserable thing woulda, coulda, shoulda. Just puts us further behind teams building the right way.

Darnold had more established weapons in Minnesta and a already notable Defense. Darnold shouldn't want to sign with Seattle. Not enough in place yet. Would be a dumb move if not what he's looking for financially. (Better not pay him what he wants.) Should try to get max contract from teams needing QB as final piece.

May not be many of those type options, but please not Seattle. Would be a bad marriage. I don't care if Donald has already worked with Kubiak.

Rapoport says that he will be "surprised" if Darnold and Seattle don't reach an agreement. Confirms Seattle wants Darnold and that its a negotiation at this point. Stressed nothing is done, however.

I am all ready to start a welcome Darnold thread.

I've settled on this being my preferred option for them to go. I think he's easily capable of being what Geno was so you're not stepping back at QB and if you can get the line playing better this team is right back in the mix to make a run. The whole defense is coming back, Kubiak should get the running game going, Darnold is a viable pro and just attack the line. It's all feasible.

Darnold has rapport with Kubiak too, both were in SF together and Kubiak has ties with the Vikings. Both teams run an offense similar to what Kubiak would offer here. It makes the most sense of any of the options on the table.

Well we shouldn't regress too much if at all I don't think. And with the right moves here on out and the draft a long with the new OC could even have us better off than last season.

Thats a very team friendly deal. Essentially a 2 year 35 million a year deal. Anything less than 40 was decent.

Gives us room to still splurge in FA and we can still draft a QB this/next year.
