No apology needed. Sam still a turnover machine. He needs to fix that. Stop sugar coating it please

Or at least minimize the turnovers...

I mean if he had just 1 turnover a game, that would be okay (even if it's preferable he had none).

Two was pushing it a bit but I think that was exacerbated with Cooper Kupp's fumble that ended a drive that could've netted the Hawks another 7 points.

I would love for Sam to play mistake-free but I'm sure some here are ready to just take the good-with-the-bad here, especially if he starts coming up big in games that really matter.

Is he owed an apology?

It was great he came back to win that. But he deserved the invective he was getting until the 4th and he started to turn around.

Still that was a hell of a comeback. I didn't think he had it in him to get both the TD and 2-point conversion in OT. That was great. Let's hope he can keep it rolling.

Sugar coating a twelve and 3 record? It's already delicious. Name a qb that puts us in this position. Name one. Just one.

The Vickies have one? Nope.
The Cheifs have one? Nope
Could Josh Allen? Nope
Bo Nix? Nope
The Dallas Cowboys? Nope

Sam Darnold 14 and 3 last year.

We now know it wasn't Justin Jefferson or the defense.

Sam is 12 and 3 this year. Sam is 26 and 6 it ain't over yet.

Sam can drive the length of the feild in 42 seconds.

Darnold is legit. We just have to learn that he is a gun slinger. We have to let him sling it. Good with the bad. Kubiak held him back until the 4th qrt. Hopefully they can get this thing together and not wait to start going for it. I do know this. If this was last years QB we would have seen alot of pouting and bad attitude on the sideline. There's a reason Sam is 30-9 when starting over the last 3 or 4 years.

Well we all saw no mistake Sam in the last few games and most of this game. We almost beat the best team with 4turn overs and did beat them with three. That just doesn’t happen.

Not only that.

He was given a TD by special teams

He played like crap after we tied the game. Two failed drives, missed open receivers, took a bad sack

I dont get the apology thread at all.

"Sorry for calling that our QB played like garbage for 90% of the game and if he was decent against the Rams we would ev 2-0 against them this year"

I sure hope this changes things for him, but so far when defenses gets complicated and pressures him he throws picks. The reasons for that can be many, but he leads the league in turnovers and it needs to get resolved.

He was lights out when it was needed most. You can't ignore the good and only emphasize the negative. Makes you look biased.

That is fair

He was lights out in between being very bad

This whole thread is filled with people thinking that his good drives means he is now redeemed.

Kind of goes two ways and people here should not ignore 75% of a game being bad

The concern going into the season was how he would handle being pressured. So far he is not proving that wrong. Certainly hope this changes that

Sam WAS redeemed mainly 'cause the narrative was that he could never win the Big game.

And THIS was the Big game.

This was a game where if he just can't beat this particular team, there is no future here for him as a Seahawk.

Now that he proved he can beat them (at least to himself and his psyche), things hopefully will be different going forward.

BTW, not for nothing but certain individuals coming into this thread sh*tting on those fans being happy for Darnold isn't a good look.

Just saying...

I'm fine with this stance, despite me having posted a crow pic earlier.

Truth be told, Darnold needed an unlikely combination of events - a missed Rams field goal, a bizarre replay that got us 2 points after a blown whistle, and, though nobody has really talked about this yet, some hilariously bad execution by the Rams right from the first possession - to be in a position to win. That much unlikeliness isn't sustainable. He's a big damn hero and a legend after today, but whether he's a Super Bowl QB is still up for grabs. Though with the NFC in its current state, it might not be until the Super Bowl that he finally gets beaten.
