Amazing the trajectory that RW's young career has taken. It is only going to get better IMO. On another note....how did Kaepernick get the "Papaki" moniker?

This was a picture taken at the Pro Bowl. Guys trade stuff there all the time. That's appropriate. Papaki however is not.

Alexander was wearing that at the pro bowl while he was on the verge of becoming a free agent after the most succesful season in Seahawks history and his own personal best season, but it was ok. (and for the record, I didn't have any problem with it anyway).Hasselbeck":117egfbv said:HighlandHawk":117egfbv said:Of course, might have thought there was another rule in place to suit people who want to find something to bitch about a player on a different team
What?
Alexander wore that at a Pro Bowl practice, and some Panther was probably wearing his hat.. that's what they do at those things.
Kaeperdouche was rocking a Dolphins hat during a day out on the town. Slight difference.

If you are paying close attention, you see Russ is heads and shoulders the complete package over him from leadership, preparation, character, intelligence...AND the dude is a baller on top of that.
Oh well...The whole world will soon see for themselves...
Separation is in the Preparation after all.

I don't think there is anything wrong with buying your teams QB jersey even if he is new to the team. I will be buying a Kaepernick jersey before the regular season kicks off. For those of you that bought a Flynn jersey when they came out, who could blame you? With the amount you guys paid for him, obviously it was assumed he would be the starter.
How soon actually after you guys traded for him from the Packers, did his jersey hit the shelves up there in Washington?

Personally I believe Russ is the better QB and we'll see that this year. If you look at the stats (I know, I know) Kaepernick is only a few % points behind Russ in accuracy, and he's ahead of him in YPA. So, he hucks the ball a ways downfield, but is still accurate. Add to it that he has a damn good work ethic, seems to have decent intangibles, and his physical stature, plus he really does impact games to a large extent, and he's the real deal.
It's like Dilfer said one time, Wilson isn't doomed because he's short, but you have to be exceptional in every other part of your game, which Russ is. The flip side of that coin is that when you're built like Kaepernic and Newton, you have more margin for error. You see the field easier when you're 6'5" and don't need to rely on throwing lanes quite as much. Add to that the athleticism, and the fact that Kap doesn't look to run first, but scrambles to throw, then runs (kinda like our guy, but to a lesser extent) and he's a big weapon.
Throw in the fact that he has a better QB guru coaching him up in Harbaugh and it's no wonder SF fans are giddy.
SF has also been a relevant franchise a lot longer than we have, it's no wonder that Kap's jersey sales are higher than Wilson's. It's actually surprising that Wilson is 2nd on that list, and probably a testament to the solidarity of the 12th man and maybe evidence to our fan base growing.

Nice solid post that makes a lot of sense.
