Hey all, long time (lurker) member here! My wife and I flying 3000 miles from Jersey for 11/3 game. Die-hard Hawks fan my whole life! This will be my 2nd time in Seattle for a game. it's been over 20 years from the last time. Any tips to do while in town? Of course we'll do the Space Needle and Pikes. Last time here the Space Needle had a restaurant at the top. Looks like that is gone. Any other suggestions?

Also, and more importantly, tailgating!!! Any good tailgates to do before the game or in the parking lot to look out for? Can't wait!! Let's go Hawks!!!

Couple of quick ideas for you (not sure where you are staying):

* Huskies home game vs USC on Saturday.4.30 PM. Great doubleheader if you can do both games.
* Aquarium just added a new wing and is right by Pikes. Very cool to do.
* Underground Seattle tour. If you like history, this is a very fun thing to see some of old school Seattle.
* Beer tour. Not sure if you like beer but there are some great tours available out there. If you only want to visit one, I highly recommend Lad and Lass in the U District.

I'm sure others will have great ideas but those are thoughts off the top of my head. Go Hawks!

There's always a good pre-funk at King Street Bar and Oven, across from the North Parking lot. UW is playing USC at home on November 2nd. If you've never been to Husky Stadium, it's a must. Absolutely beautiful spot to watch a game, and the stadium will be rockin.

Shoot me a PM if you need any help w/details etc.

Thanks for info. I did the underground tour before. That was pretty cool. We would DEFINTELY be interested in a beer tour! Any specific one/ones that you recommend?.

The King Street Bar sounds good, thanks!! Is there any good tailgates that are set up in the parking lot? In Philly, we do have some awesome tailgates. There's a few that will cost 25 bucks and it's open beer and food. Anything like that? Or anyone just want some stragglers to come up and hang with them?? ha

The space needle has changed a ton , a little on the expensive side for an elevator ride but glass floors make for an incredible view. Nice bar lounge type atmosphere and the Columbia center 90th floor i believe views from the tower are really cool
Also there's a really old one , smith i think , nice bar n restaurant the elevator is so old you see gaps around the edges of the floor almost 20 stories down
Anyway there are tourists type stuff all over town and many hole in the wall eateries that make it fun

If you want to do your own beer tour, I highly recommend just going to Ballard. You can walk between Urban Family, Stoup, Cloudburst, Ruebens and about 8 or 9 others. Plus, I think the Ballard Locks are very cool and well worth a trip to see.

Thanks gang! @Bobblehead, yup, south jersey. about 20 mins or so outside Philly. You from Jersey?
Lived there during the Cunningham era, went to Electro-optics school in Blackwood. lived in Haddonfield, Clementon, Ocean city, among others. Dated a gal from Ciniminson. I really love South Jersey, I'd live there again, but, damn.. that infringement on my 2nd amendment.

Ha. Yeah, live in Lumberton now. Grew up in Burl Co. I know Cinnaminson and Haddonfield very well.

No tailgating in the actual parking lot but there's some South of the stadium on Utah Ave. They had an area where you paid to get in & there was music booze & food available. Did it once, after buying our tickets for it on stubhub, it was okay but I wouldn't do it again. There were lots of people lined up the whole road BBQing & having refreshments so there lots to see.
There's always something happening in the WAMU theater which is attached to the South end of the stadium. That's where we would normally hang out before games when we are in town for a game.
