No matter what it seems Russell's days in Denver are ending sooner than later.

Calling it now. Screenshot this.

Seahawks sign Russ for next season. Russ wins comeback and MVP. Seahawks win the SB. This coming from a Russ hater. Either that, or he goes to the Patriots with the same outcome.
OREALLY?

Bruh.

This would be like bringing back your chick after she dumped you for Liam Gallagher to hitch a ride to the top of pop stature.

That's a hard no.

Pete and Russ cannot coexist. That is why he was traded in the first place.

Does anyone remember RW ever being a holder for extra points, FG's as a pro?

It's extremely unlikely the Broncos will release Wilson before February. If they did release him early he would be subject to waivers. No team would claim his contract off waivers so he would become a FA. If he became a FA I don't think he'd choose to play for the Seahawks at any price at the current time.

There are basically 2 upcoming choices for the Broncos regarding Wilson:
1) Pay him $39M to go away and not play.
2) Pay him $76M for the next 2 seasons.

It comes down to whether 2 seasons of Wilson is worth more than the $37M difference. If another team thinks 2 seasons of Wilson is worth more than $37M and worth more than the Broncos are willing to pay Wilson they could trade for him. The trading team would pick up what they're prepared to pay, the Broncos would pay the rest, and there would likely be a swap of future 7th round picks.

Personally i'd pass on acquiring Wilson for 2 years at $37M+.

$1.21mil came from a post on Broncos forum, if it is true, would you take him back at 1.21 mil to mentor our next franchise QB? If the Broncos outright release Wilson, they are still in the book to pay him, aren't they? Teams can just sign him at vet min and let Broncos carry the big money, can't they?
[Boldface emphasis is mine]

Why would anyone want Wilson to mentor a younger QB? The guy can't read a defense or run an offense as planned and practiced.
Besides, a mentor doesn't need to be taking up a precious roster spot.
