They were making fun of him on the radio this afternoon for this. He laughed at his own joke after he said this to a silent room, and they were just calling him "cringe". The #1 sports radio dude in the Denver metro area said he was the "cringiest player he could remember".

It's likely Wilson and the team will be much better next year once they've worked through some issues, but he's gone from savior to joke really fast with fans and local sports media.

It's called making adjustments at the half vs what you saw in the first half. It's science.

adding to that, players usually know what their first 15 or so plays are going to be. a team typically scripts their first few series and practices those scripted plays over and over all week. and broncos also had 11 whole days off coming into that game to setup. might help explain them dropping off a cliff after the 1st quarter.
