Yeah. I was surprised that the Vikes let Jones go and put everything on their rookie QB in a division with GB, the Lions, and the possible up and coming Bears. That was a helluva insurance policy to lose. Just MO.
Kevin O'Connell and Kwesi Adofo Mensah are supposed to be great talent evaluators, especially at QB. But this year they let Jones and Darnold go and traded for Sam Howell. They did eventually let Howell go, and then they signed Carson Wentz, who many respected coaches have had and passed on, including Andy Reid. O'Connell may live to regret it.

Saw part of the Giants-Commanders game yesterday. Russ was terrible, but no one would have been good behind that offensive line. Their loss was not on Russ. The Giants went 3-14 last year and only replaced the QB this year. Why did they think it was going to be any different?
That's the Russell wilson experience. He made them believe they were better than they really are. He made them believe he was the key to winning despite him not having any playoff success for a long time. He made them believe that this season was going to be all sunshine and rainbows.

Daniel Jones in fairness might be vindicated because he looked competent behind a very nice OL in front of him and a nice diverse skill set group on the Colts offense. It is early but it looks like Jones might be a serviceable QB for the Colts over the long haul.
I'd hold off on the Superbowl parade plans for a bit. It was, after all, Miami Dolphins as their opponent.

I don't want to burn Russ at the stake like most fans here, but I recognize the regression. Serious question I have for people,,,,when was the last time he played behind a decent line? I guess 2023 in Denver, but that was rarity. Guess what i'm saying is that the teams he has played for hasen't done him any favors.

Even with a line, he fails..
He holds too long or pulls too soon and thinks he can wing it
by running around for a scramble.
This is while being in the Shotgun all the time!

Oh, I agree that he hasn't been blessed with great offensive lines. But that was part of the rationale for bringing him in here in the first place, because he was mobile and didn't require a great OL in order for his team to succeed.

Russell didn't adjust his game to compensate for Father Time. He's always had one of the longest time to throw numbers in the league. He holds onto the ball too gawd damn long.

I didn't see a lot of his game yesterday, just the snippets that were available on the Red Zone so I can't comment too much on the quality of Russell's play and how much of a role he played in the Giants defeat. But no matter what the circumstances were, it's hard to rationalize a 46% completion percentage with 168 yards and no TD's.

Putting in Dart as a starter too early will just ruin him. Team is a mess, let the veterans take the beating.

it’s getting embarrassing. Why doesn’t he quit playing? It’s not like he needs the money.
I don't blame him. If teams are willing to give him the money, why not take it? You can never have too much money.

Is this picture for real?

Guess I’m not surprised if so.
You can't fake a rack at Goodwill, I wish that was here,
I could use a few to clean up grease/oil while working on car.

"We competed our butts today....We gave it our all, physically" --ClichéRuss

Offense scored 6 points.
You know, when Russell first broke in with us and was using all those catchy cliches and politically correct verbiage, it didn't bother me one iota. But after 8 or so years, coupled with Pete Carroll's eternal optimism and his own brand of catchy cliches, like always compete, championships forever, etc., it began to wear on me, began to make me flinch every time I saw him walk to the podium with his big smile.

I sometimes wish we had a frank, honest face, like Jim Mora Sr.'s "We sucked!" or "Playoffs?! Playoffs?! Are you kidding me? I just wanna win a game!"
