Who gives a damn about russ and dart and the giants? Why is he still a topic HERE? some peeps just can't get over it? We have bigger things to look at like maybe WINNING?
I wish Wilson no ill will and yes, we could indeed witness a heartwarming resurgence in a town he desperately wants to love him.
However…
3-3 would be a dream scenario for Russ. I referenced it a little earlier, but the G men’s schedule is daunting to start. Particularly the first 8 games which include the champion Eagles twice , @ Washington, KC, Chargers, and @ Denver (where I’m sure he will get a real warm welcome). I’m thinking more like 2-6 or 3-5 eight games in. By that time, fans and media will be clamoring for Dart.

I'm grateful for the years RW gave us. If he could have stayed with the Seahawks who knows what his career would have looked like. I don't take pleasure in his failures and reduction in skills (running, for example) since leaving. I agree with the sentiment in this thread; he's probably not the answer short or long term for the Giants.
Nicely said. Can appreciate what a former player did and/or accomplished.......all while being glad he's gone. Both can actually exist.
Even with denial, folded arms and legs kicking in the air, it doesn't change what he did here in Seattle. And it absolutely was the best run by a QB in Seattle history, period. He got full of himself, he got sent packing. All while the Hawks fleeced Denver. We got his best years. Worked out great. Good e f'ing nuff.

One wonders how his career would have been if we handed the ball to Lynch and he scores, does LOB stay together longer, does Wilson decide to stay within the system and not be ME3, does Lynch stay with the team for a couple more years. One play and a lot of what if's.

Wilson didn't get Hackett fired. Dude was flat out incompetent. Got a HC job purely by nursemaiding Rodgers' ego. While Wilson definitely played like shit under him, he wasn't the idiot who decided to take the ball out of his $245m QB's hands and attempt a 64 yard field goal in Seattle.
Wilson has had 1 bad statistical season with a passer rating under 90.
Hackett was an abject failure of an OC everywhere except with Rodgers in GB (but not in NY, where they got Robert Saleh fired).

I am still cracking up that the Seahawks ever signed Matt Flynn. Massive waste in response to a game featuring six of the most overrated touchdowns thrown by an NFL quarterback.
No doubt. Tip of the tap to Flynn. Dude was laughing all the way to the bank. Same could be said for Kevin Kolb. Dude cashed in after doing very little in the league.

I'm constantly perplexed by the people here who don't want to hear about other teams. The OP here is talking about an interesting topic. If you aren't interested, then don't read it. I think most of us find things going on with other teams to be topics worth discussing. Jaxon Dart is having a good preseason and creating a QB controversy in NY.

Allen and Hurts will probably pass him eventually. He doesn't have the wheels he used to, but he might catch Vick if he plays long enough.
Allen and Hurts are def. fun QB's to watch. Jackson might be the most fun QB to watch in the entire league.
