Grain of salt considering the questionable (but not totally unreliable) source... but this is starting to feel right to me.

His fire and savvy mixed with Adams and Diggs energy... the chance to right some wrongs... the chance to bring back some of that attitude and LOB magic...

I'm in. I'm really hoping for this.

I'm not opposed to bringing him back. He was effective in limited starts and only a year removed from being 2nd team all-pro. He's obviously not a long-term solution, but I think he'd be an excellent stop gap while we look for a long-term replacement for Griffin.

I never thought I'd be saying this, btw. I was done with Sherman 3 years ago.

How in the world would it be a bed thing to bring him back? Still a good player, left in decent terms and is a great competitor. Additionally he could help coach up the younger players.

Sherm is a Hawk. Bring him home!!!

Didn't Pete and him have a falling out? Dude would be an upgrade and it would be nice to see Pete put the team above himself.

I wouldn't mind this one bit. Sherman still lives here in the PNW, still gives to the community...His presence, intelligence and veteran leadership alone would be worth it. I think his ballistic sideline episodes are in his past personally. Sign me up. Retire a Seahawk as he should. Now ET on the other hand...

Can’t see it happening. The breakup was kind of messy. That said, if both sides can get past that, I wouldn’t be opposed. Not the player he once was, but still above average. Getting rid of the “trouble makers” has NOT helped us advance in the playoffs, so why the heck not.

Even if he never takes the field, his mind will elevate the D in a way Norton, as bad ass of a player as he was, never could.

edit: and they still should put a statue of The Tip on site, even if he dose' rejoin.

A year where Sherm rejoins the team and Wilson gets trade away.

Love Sherman but I can't see him back here. Pete has been on a years-long crusade to rid the locker room of certain personalities. Sherman, Marshawn, Earl, Bennett, all superb players but they came with personality issues, and grew tired of Pete. And they became a problem for him on the sidelines as well during the games.

Sherman is also near the end of the road. A lasting impression was seeing him get schooled by a KC WR in the Super Bowl, a guy Sherman would have eaten alive 4-5 years ago.

Maybe Carroll is thinking, “Sherm, really wasn’t bad. It’s that Wilson, that’s the real culprit, here! Wilson, is the one that is airing out our laundry. Sherm is defense and I like defense! I like Sherm more than Wilson!”

I’ve just been waiting for this to happen. He will be a good mentor for young DBs.

Pete sold his soul to Russ after year two, yes, Russ's that good and worth it. Without Russ, Pete's record would have sucked, he may not be coaching at this point.

The Soulless Pete was rewarded with a super bowl and a very near miss. The cost? Alienated the defense stars and some offense stars, think angry.

Now Russ wants more, he wanted to have final say on personal and coaching. To Russ, the Soulless Pete is yesterday's man, which is not untrue. With Pete out of the way, next step would be inching towards ownership. Watch out Judy.

At this point, Sherman is at the Free Safety point of his career. If he is willing to move I would be down for it.

It was a messy breakup at the time but that was entirely on Sherman's part and he seems to have grown since then.

Look at what Sherman has to say about JimmyG in SF compared to his rants about Wilson earlier in his career. He had to learn that lesson the hard way but he seems to have learned it.

That being said, this isn't the off-season to overpay any veteran UFAs. If he's available for his 2020 OTC valuation ($3m) then I'd be interested but I am sure he is hoping for something more in line with his 2018/2019 seasons.
