Well, the one year he got extended playing time here, the only receiver who WASN'T a street free agent, was John Carlson...that was John's best year. IIRC, Seneca broke the Seahawks record for pass attemtpts without a INT. And, one of our resident tape watchers confirmed the Hawks averaged 1 dropped TD pass a game that year (street FA's). Oh, and no running game and a HORRIBLE Oline that year either.

So, he didn't turn the ball over, didn't take sacks, had the only NFL caliber player on that offense have a career year, but, he sucked.

He was a GOOD backup. Even in Cle he put up "safe" 19/24 170 or so numbers (with no TO's).

I'm with ya Ryan... I remember very well Seneca being extremely accurate over that few game period in 08 when Hass went down. Maybe he was never destined to be a full time starter but as a backup in Holmgren's system he was more than adequate.

Who the Heck cares!? It's a backup that will play 7 qtrs of football a season.

I know, I know. But, I have a soft spot in my heart for Seneca. We heard, over and over again, he killed our DB's at WR. And, when he finally got good time at QB, the team went to shit around him.

The only good thing to come out of that jersey, is that they stand out at the games when fans wear them. The blue and white just tend to blend into the background.

It's most notable when teams with primary colors come in to play (Cards/Niners/Packers). The blue is just too muted/neutral to really contrast to the eye.

The old Seahawk blue stood out famously.

A pay cut will certainly help a team up against a salary cap and set to carry over $38 million in dead cap after Palmer is cut. I think it speaks more to the situation the Raiders are trying to work thru.

He most likely won't which means either we keep him or Seattle re-works the contract to eat more money. I just don't see us eating much more money without it being a worthless trade since at the end of the day we still need to sign a backup.

Third option is Oakland gives up on this attempt . Seriously you don't get a starting qb for under $5.25 million I am really surprised about this "not worth the money". He is $5.25million this year AND it is "only" $2 million guaranteed next year for a guy that you think is a starting qb. Compare that to what they just paid for the guy that failed and this is minimal risk and doesn't put them in jeopardy long term

That sounds logical...except the Raiders don't use logic when making trades and will probably treat Flynn like he has won a SB with the compensation they give up for him.

I was attempting to be facetious because at this point nobody actually knows what the trade details are, but the media is making conjectures.

I personally love the green in every form and fashion, but I'm not gonna cry about it if they never wear them again. The meltdown if they did, however, would be probably the most epic in .NET history. I would take full days off of work just so I could give it my full attention.
