Dan really needs to start hitting.. and pitching... and fielding

Still not sure what our best players doing jack diddly in high leverage situations has to do with Dan Wilson.. but hey... this board is always the same way... the million dollar players can't hit apparenntly its because Dan is telling them not too... Got it..

Are the players blameless? Heck no. But they aren't the ones pinch hitting in odd situations. Not pinch running with one out but then pinch running as soon as there are two outs. He can control when batters challenge ABS (for example, how about never). He can decide to play for moving the runner up in the bottom of the tenth instead of just swinging for the fences with your 8 and 9 hitter.
Nobody is blameless in this. But as manager, Dan has a lot more control about what they do in situations and that has nothing to do with the actual players.
Some of the things going on were going on before Dan was coach. Thus it falls on Justin and Jerry. Stanton doesn't give a f*** he's just a rich guy who wanted to buy a baseball team.
Management built a team full of hit a home run or nothing players, and guys who are past their prime. They intentionally don't play small ball (WTF!!). The pitching they are developing is the only positive but as it's been said for many years now it's pointless when nothing else is working. Kade Anderson is going to be another wasted pitcher. This sh** has been going on for decades.
Funny how the Hawks can suck and people jump on John's ass to change things for better results but with the Ms it's let's sit around for years and years and just hope things will change.
Last year they rode the wave of a once in a lifetime season from a catcher , Genos vibes, and Naylor. They let Geno go so now it's let Naylor carry the team? They needed to do more. You knew Cal wasn't going to hit 60 bombs again. Nothing truly changed. If they don't win this trash division this year then you have to clean house.

And I don't see anyone claiming none of it is on the players. It absolutely is ALSO on the players. I don't understand the hype with this guy. Other than 1995, which is about as Mariner as it gets. He's in over his head; I stick to my opinion. He cost us a WS last year, I stick to my opinion.

At this point, all I can do is laugh. Luis is done—Father Time finally caught up with him, and I saw it coming last year. I wanted the M’s to trade him, but then folks called me crazy.

That's a good point. They def. are lacking that swag they had last year. They look like they're just going thru the motions.
Seems like the Manager could actually motivate his players. But you're right, something is off. Only 2.5 out in early May, cool. However, they have handed away countless games, and that crap catches up when it matters.
