His stats in N.O. didn't look very good until I realized he had crap OCs, and QBs.

Here is a breakdown of the primary starting quarterbacks by season:
  • 2022: Jameis Winston began as the starter, with Andy Dalton taking over for the majority of the season.

  • 2023: Derek Carr (a good QB on a crap team) started, leading the team with a 9–8 record.

  • 2024: Derek Carr started, with rookie Spencer Rattler starting six games and Jake Haener one game due to injuries.

  • 2025: Spencer Rattler was named the Week 1 starter, but was replaced by rookie Tyler Shough.

People keep touting these other things.. but he was with a trash NO team... with a qb for ONE season with a terrible Oline theyve always had.

We can afford this.. as we see how HOrton plays out... two speeds a route runner and a proven hand man... I don't see ANYTHING wrong with this.. Arroyo, Barner... I feel good about our offense honestly, our running game turned around with Shaheed, and with Horton back its even worse for defense speed in the middle speed on the outside and a nasty route runner

250 carries and 1000 yards? Again people talking crap on other threads, but Holani and MacIntosh both did that in college... consistently.. with less carries.. and more receptions.

Long as Kenny can stay healthy we have Holani Kenny one two, until charbs comes back (and probably not 100 percent in november)

Darnold and Shaheed were so close on 3 or 4 massive catches last season. I feel very confident they will get their timing down and he will find himself having a much more improved season stats wise with us than last year.

They were sooo close on a couple of those passes.

Alec Pierce signed a four-year, $116 million contract, making him one of the highest-paid wide receivers in the NFL with a $29 million average annual value.

Per Mina Kimes:

Alec Pierce (Daniel Jones) 2025 Rec: 47 Yds: 1003 Y/R: 21.3 TD: 6

Rashid Shaheed 2025 Rec: 44 Yds: 499 Y/R: 11.3 TD: 2 Return TDs: 3 (Total TDs: 5)

Honestly - it's not easy to join another team mid season and gel in the offense immediately. Sure he already knew Kukiak's system, but he's missing an offseason of reps with Darnold and the chemistry that builds up over time.

Marshawn Lynch averaged 48 yards per game and 3.5 YPC his first season as a Seahawks (12 games - so traded even earlier in the season than Shaheed).

Fact of the matter is he had big plays when it counted and our team got better after we arrived. I'm relaxed.

Sounds like both Darnold and Shaheed had the same route to the Superbowl. Both thru Seattle.

She alluded to but didn't finish this thought: With Shaheed out there you have to choose if you want to use a safety to bracket JSN or provide run-support, either way you're giving something up.

Game changer. Helped us get to the SB. Love that he's back.
He does so much for this offense.

Some we know, and some that doesn't show up on the stat sheet.

Some fans say it was a "slight overpay" but based on what we are signing him to do, it's really not.

Wide Receiver
Kick Returner
Punt Returner
Running the ball when asked to
Run-Blocking (I think he's pretty solid)

Also, the fact that teams will be kicking out of bounds instead of to him and have us start at the 35-yard line each and every time can't be understated.

EDIT : He's also an incredible DECOY. Opposing Defenses has to account for him and can't just freely double or triple-team JSN. Credit @Seahawkfan80 for reminding me.

Exactly. FB is the ultimate team sport and this is an unselfish team. Shaheed provided a ton of value as a WR that doesn't show on the stat sheet.

I know I sound crazy but…K-Mac looked better than K9 running the ball at times.

I’m ready for the fallout…

Granted….way too low sample size. 31 regular season carries…perhaps some of those in garbage time. Not a lot of top end…..

…..5.5 YPC.

I just want to see this dude healthy and see if he can compete. I’m not saying just because he played at Georgia or in the SEC that he’s good…but that cat played in Georgia and the SEC.

Healthy K-Mac please…I needs to know!!

Not crazy at all. Thought the same b/c when KMac made a decision, it was plant n' go. Back then, K9 loved to dance...not always his fault b/c our line couldn't block Jody Allen back then. Doesn't have the twitch of K9, but had explosion.

I have an antique collectibles business. Every now and then I get wrapped up in my own collector desires and pay way too much for something...just because. I cringe and have doubts, but as soon as the money is sent, I know. And sometimes I'm ecstatic and just don't give a shit how much I paid. As a fan, Rashid is that kind of guy. Before we signed him I would have said "don't pay more than 7-8 million a year", but now that he's signed I'm thrilled.

We just needed this guy to be on our team in 2026, and no one's every gonna regret it!

Shaheed takes the pressure off of JSN & Kupp and JSN takes pressure off of Kupp & Shaheed.

Looking forward to Sam throwing the ball around in his 2nd year with more familiarity at the controls. We also have Horton & Arroyo who hopefully take the next step.

I think this will be the greatest WR group the Hawks have ever fielded.

This is actually going to be the first time since Sam became a Starter (again) on a GOOD team that he's gotten a 2nd season with that team.

Vikings didn't give him that 2nd season.

He's now going to get that 2nd season with Seattle and I forsee him being even MORE effective in the offense than he was during the SB season recently.
