4-8? I don't know what UW Schedule looks like next year, but I'd bet they can beat OS, WSU, Cal and CU. So 6-6 is probably more realistic, if they are starting a true FR Qb.

They had 3 all americans on defense this year and only won 7 games against FBS competition. They are going to be replace what, 7 start defensive starters next year?

And they still have no quarterback. A huge step back is in store for them.

Individually I really like Shelton, Shaq, and Kikaha, but they led them to the 97th ranked defense (124th vs the pass) the country so lets not pretend that those three individually led the team to anything. You may not see the crazy individual numbers that each of them put up, but the defense will be better.

As far as QB, KJ Carta Samuels and Jake Browning are both strong threats to be starting week one against Boise State next season. There should be no assumptions made about Miles remaining the starting QB.

The Pac 12 north is going to be weak again next season and anything between 6 and 10 wins would be perfectly reasonable for the UW talent level.

There really is no excuse for how terrible the defense was with that much talent. Ugh.

You know in the last 20 years, UW has less wins than Oregon State.

That's going to leave a mark.
Why?

Yeah, why would that "leave a mark"?

I thought it was an interesting bit of trivia.

For as good as the front 7 was, at one point in the year the secondary was starting True freshman / True freshman at CB, and True Freshman / True Sophomore at Safety. They were yoooouuuuuung back there.

Yep. I guess people forget that UW lost both of its started CBs (Peters kicked off and Kelly got hurt). I mean our most senior member of the secondary was a true Sophomore...3 starting true feshman and a WR is what we ended the year with in our secondary.

And the nickel CB was also a true freshman

The offense should bee considerably better next season. The secondary will build another year but I think they've got good talent back there. They'll have to find new pass rushers. However, I think the biggest problem lies with the d coordinator. We JUST recovered from an era of putting our corners 10 yards off the ball, to the tune of basically the worst defensive era in the history of mankind. We finally solve that problem and have some success being aggressive, then we go right back to it. I see Willingham and Holt in our HC and DC. Sadly, I think we're about to head backwards until we find the right coach.

Shaq also made it official that he's going to the nfl, no surprise.

UW is very realistically looking at a 4-8 season next year.
Someone is mad, who is your team?

I'm not mad about anything. Who my team is doesn't matter.

Well, my comment was mostly a joke, poking fun at the unrealistic expectations that surround UW football every single year.

UW's football history outclasses Oregon State's by a country mile. (A Heisman trophy is about the only thing OSU can hang over UW's head.) But when they have won more games than you over the past 2 decades, well, that tends to sting egos a little.

For UW not "being your team" you sure seem obsessed with them...not surprising though

You sure about those numbers? UW was 40th in scoring defense last year, and they were near the very top in terms of sacks.

I took them from ESPNs total defense rankings: http://espn.go.com/college-football/sta ... on/defense

Nice to see that ad hominem is alive and well. My points and opinions are not any less valid due to whatever rooting interest I have.

Oregon Ducks fans often make that kind of claim when 'objectively' discussing UW.

Husky fans often accuse anyone who isn't a blind UW homer of being a Duck fan.

And the world keeps spinning.
