Every single team in the nfl runs prevent in that situation. We need pass rush in general not just interior.

Was outside pressure any better? We were without Jones and Clemons, two of our top rushers. We were forced to play a style of defense we haven't played all year and got BURNED because of it.

It's not that I don't agree that we need interior pressure, because we did, it's just that having Jones would have been a huge help.

Clemons coming off a major injury and Irvin as raw as raw can be, we need another outside pass rusher. Also I think we need a good run stuffer.

I think that you thank Big Red for his DE play and ask him to move back inside and you get another DE with some speed and moves. Our D-line isn't very good and when our linebackers cheat up they aren't very good either.

Clemons' injury status is going to play a role no doubt. I have faith Irvin can grow into the starting Leo role, so I don't see defensive end as a first round need but would still like to add to it, like you.

We have the cap space to fix the holes in interior rush if we move Flynn. Don't forget we lost Clem and Jones.....

This team needs a stud DT that can both provide pressure up the middle against the pass and demand double-teams against the run to help free up our linebackers.

When we let Arizona, Miami, Chicago, and Detroit come back on us Clemons and Jones were on the field. This is more than just about 2 players. Bradley and Carroll need to rethink their schemes in these situations.

I dont think we were playing prevent. On at least one of those 2 play we were blitzing.

I dont know for sure and I dont wanna watch highlights, but fans here always blame big catches on prevent, no matter what the situation. Its funny.

we definitely need to upgrade our pass rush next season.

0 sacks, 1 QB hit, and that was attributed to trufant. In a playoff game against a team that likes to pass, that's going to spell disaster.

Even when Jones/Clemons were healthy our pass rush was inconsistent at best.

Can we agree that Trufant no longer has a role on this team ? Too many times I saw him trailing far behind the slot receivers this season. A fine career but its done IMO

Tru will likely retire and go out with the class he has always exhibited. He's done and he knows it I'm sure.

Not sure what the scheme was, but I thought I saw Kam blitzing and Winston Guy covered the receiver, he had tight coverage - the pass/catch was just better

I think he could make a good safety, unfortunately we dont really have room for another safety.
