John shnieder is like a crow. He’s obsessed with shiny objects. Divest the over priced wide receivers and get road graders.

Schneider's first five picks last year were:
1. Trench player
2. Traded for trench player
3. Trench player
4. Tyrice Knight
5. Road Grader TE

That's not excelling at drafting. He made a good pick with Wilson, sure. The only other QB drafted since 2010 was Alex McGough. That's only 2 draft picks on QBs in 14 years. You could argue during Wilson's prime we didn't need to and I wouldn't disagree.

They could have at least spent 1 pick in the last 5 years on a QB, even a mid to late round pick and let him sit a couple years. It really makes absolutely zero sense considering John's obsession with drafting skill position players at the expense of the trenches.

Yes, but he did speak of other QB's like Allen and Mahomes before they were drafted. Its easy to say they were obvious talents, but the miss rate at QB is so high anymore. I don't know, but I do trust him with QB talent more so than anything else.

I do think things are going in the right direction. If we go LG and NT in the first and second round this year then I will be convinced.
