Zach is probably worth 4-5 million per year based upon what other TE's are getting paid. The final 2 years of his contract call for $10M in total base salary, but he has $3M in remaining guarantee money totaling $13 M over 2 years.
If we let him go, I think it will take $8-$10M to find a worthy replacement. Add in what we owe him in guarantees and the expense is about even.
His contract was front loaded by JS for a reason and his yearly cap hit now goes down each year for the next 2 years. That is why I voted as-is and expect him to remain a Hawk for at least one more year and probably both remaining years.

Last year everybody was convinced that Miller was going to be released, or at the very least restructured. As Ludwig points out, his cap number is going to go down over the next couple of years. Because the cap itself is going up his relative cap hit is shrinking dramatically. I think we keep him as-is for the remainder of his contract unless we draft a replacement high that we are very sold on. I do not think we would cut him and then bring in a mid-range FA to compete with Willson for the starting job.

I voted restructure. If he isn't willing to do so then I expect him to be gone
