POLL: Do You Trust Sam?

I don’t trust Sam when the lights are brightest

  • Agree. He makes me nervous and has shown he can’t play his best in the biggest games

  • Disagree. Three games shouldn’t define what he will do in the future.

Honestly, with Sam Darnold's recent struggles, the Seahawks should seriously consider reevaluating the position. Out of all the recent teams with good rosters in place and needing a QB, the best model for success is without a doubt the 2024-25 Minnesota Vikings. They catapulted themselves back into contention thanks in large part to the signing of Sam Darnold. What Seattle needs to do to solve our Sam Darnold problem is sign a Sam Darnold type to replace Sam Darnold. Only then, once we have a Sam Darnold sized solution in place, can we put this Sam Darnold sized problem behind us. That's how we'll get this team to a point where we're finally winning most of our games.

Guinness cheers

But man we also need to draft a future franchise QB as well like the Great JJ McCarthy. 🙃

Yes, I don't trust him.
No, I don't trust him.
Not sure what your point is, if it's that the choices are supposed to be obvious, they are, except for the fact that if you glance at the thread title before even clicking into it, and think to yourself "Yeah, I trust him, still" then you're inclined to just click Agree on the poll right after you click into the thread, but the poll question itself is reversed from the thread title, so I almost voted Agree when I actually wanted to vote Disagree based on the actual poll question. Note that I live in Orlando and it was 2:02am, late at night, for me as well...

I considered Darnold for Geno to be something of a wash, but that has been shown to be a big error. However, Darnold of late has been recreating Geno traits that I found appalling. When he gets over that hurdle I will trust him. In the meantime we are doomed to reside in the wannabe column.

I didn't watch the Lamb game or any of the highlights (besides one play), but four interceptions tells the story there.

But you have to admit, though, that even with some of those Geno traits that crop up here and there, he's still on a different planet than Geno overall.

Darnold is far and a way superior to Geno.

Confidence is key with Darnold. He clearly gets into his own head when the game is big. I put "agree" until I see him perform like he's shown he can in the "less big" games. I think he needs to go see a hypnotist who will rewire his brain into seeing other teams wearing Cardinals jerseys or something.

Or maybe he should start checking the ball down more....
