Yes really. Its the same crap over and over. One person says so and so sucks, then another person reads that and says "he must suck because someone said he did" and it rolls on from there. Very very few of you pay any attention to the OL during the course of a game. That's a fact. Why don't any of you talk about our WR corps that absolutely suck or the fact Wilson holds on to the ball too long? The reason why is because you don't understand what you are looking at and why things happen the way they do.

Could you please explain to us what we should be looking for? That would be great.

While true, there actually are individuals discussing those factors. I've always maintained the Seahawks OLine requires an advantage in pass protection, due to their intent and purpose. They need play-calling to give them that half-step. And, they'll always look worse than they are due to Wilson's aversion to turnovers, Pete's preference for big plays, etc.

I went through that in my first reply. Maybe read before criticizing, Sugarpants?

That same "ranking" had the Rams' O line at #7 in the league.

Raise your hand if you think the Rams have the 7th best O line in the league.

[NOTE: my hand is not raised]

If you actually paid attention to the OL during the game you would notice (A) Bowie gets beat...ALOT (B) Carpenter is lazy and takes a lot of plays off (C) Sweezy is the best run blocker on the team and is miles ahead of where he was last year in pass pro (D) Our receivers cant get open.....EVER (we may have the worst receivers in the league) (E) Russell holds on to the ball too long (F) Bevell is a horrible OC

That's as crazy as ranking your contributions in anything other than the 2 percentile.

You may get flamed for this... While I think your analysis is a bit extreme, I do believe there is some truth to it...

I've watched all five of our games, more than once.

Our O-line is bad. That's it. Nothing more to it. It's bad.

Mainly because it's inconsistent.

I just get so tired of everything being the OL fault. We don't know what kind of schemes they are running, we don't know what the exact blocking assignments are. What I do know is that our horrible receivers don't help at all. Our fullback cant block at all and our OC isn't very good.

So all of us our idiots and Pete Carroll is an idiot for thinking our O-Line is the problem? Lol! When Russ Wilson has 3 seconds in the pocket he is deadly accurate. He doesn't get that long with our O-Line without major leakage, ever. The only wide receiver that is horrible right now is Sidney Rice. I would also say that Bevell doesn't counter the rush or blitz well but that has nothing to do with your vague and pointless troll post.

Of course, PFF does have you ranked in the top 1% in their rankings of "posters who can't hide their grudges," so they're not always wrong.

Grudge would imply you're of consequence though? It'd be surprising if you we're of consequence to anyone, but to me, really? Does your narcissism negatively effect your family as it does your football fanaticism?

You cant box with god if your arms are short, Avenger. Just stop, pooky.

Well I'm really excited to have this new guy come out of nowhere, and teach us the way! Excellent.

I mean he really sounds like he knows what he's talking about, like he's some football genius or something. This is going to be good guys!

Deadly Accurate????? How many times has Wilson missed WIDE OPEN receivers this year? ALOT. Our best receiver is Baldwin and he hardly gets any looks. And he had plenty of pass plays in the Indy game where he had more than 4 seconds and he either missed the throw or our subpar receivers couldn't get separation. Don't just watch the game. Pay attention to what you are looking at.

Let's review...

I add to the conversation and, in doing so, actually support the Seahawks against the bogus PFF ranking.

You respond by taking a shot at me.

Seems like you're the one obsessed with me, snookums... not the other way around.

No, I just recognize who and what you are.

I'm singing "True Colors" by Cindi Lauper right now (even got Lou Albino rubberbands on face).

And taking a shot at you would be against the rules. I took a shot at your posts.

What do the rules say about derailing threads?

Back on topic... I'm confident the Rams would trade at least 3 of its starting OL for their Seahawk counterparts so, while you may have concerns about your line's performance, I can assure you that PFF is overstating the issue.

I agree with your O-line analogy but you are contradicting your first post! Obviously you don't have NFL rewind because if you did you would see that Baldwin and Tate are open quite often but that Russ Wilson is already on the run because the O-Line fell apart in 1.5 seconds... Most of the time our receivers don't even get to finish their routes before the pocket breaks down. I agree on Bevell, he doesn't counter the blitz at all nor does he seem to compensate for our weaknesses on the O-Line.

Nothing wrong with that, until there play is better I'd rank them in the bottom 5 to.

Our line is a problem.

Not because it is terrible, but because our players are not healthy or are playing out of position.

We know this affects at the very least the RB, QB and WR positions. It probably impacts what the TEs can do as well, since we have to keep them in to block.

We have essentially been forced to play with one hand tied behind our back this year, (or at least in a cast). The Oline is key to any offensive production. So it should be no shock that the QB, RB and WRs are not making the impact we feel/believe they should.

The question is, this far into the season, can we really depend on our "real" line and how much difference will it make? But without our line solidified, whatever playoff aspirations we have should be tempered with the realization that we at least have to have our core group healthy or we can probably expect to stumble once or twice along the way. Since one stumble in the playoffs can mean one exit - that isn't great.

But there is still hope our guys can come back and get into playing form quickly. Then we just have to hope that they can gel in time.

What is amazing is that with the state of our line, we only have one loss.

OK so the rankings don't mean much but the reality is the OLine is just not all that good in pass pro w/o the starting LT, RT, and OC. The LG is playing out of position as a LT and we have a backup as C and rookie as the RT. if anyone thinks this is a good situation they are nucking futz.
