So they put Darnold at 26th.

And as if that isn't stupid enough, they take it even further :

Geno at 10?!?! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Kyler Murray at 15?!?! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

McCarthy (who never took a single regular season snap) at 21?!?! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Cam Ward (same as McCarthy) at 25, one ranking above Sam? :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

My god...the disrespect is just absurd.

I know this, Kyler Murray isn't very good and Geno Smith seems too high to me. Darnold has been mostly bad except for last year. I'm hoping he can keep up his improved play but it's far from guaranteed.

At the same time, putting him so low after having the season he had is total bullsh*t.

It doesn't matter how he did on Joke teams like the Jets.

It's all about what he did recently and "recently" was 2024 so PFF should've rated him accordingly.

That PFF didn't and had him behind 2 rookies (basically), Murray, and Geno shows how utterly stupid this is.

From changing the requirements in the category of comeback player of the year to same qb who only changed teams and a 14 win qb who did the same yet ratings and attitudes apparently for said area are seemingly the only constant , wow, just woof
I guess we are south alaska , just surprised the writers could even objectively look and think , yup , that's gonna fly
Pathetic
Give em hell Sam
Go Hawks

The text they wrote is correct. Was Darnold uniquely suited to the Vikings and he will revert to the player he was for the Panthers and Jets is a legitimate question. It is quite possible that Darnold does revert to his 2018-23 errors in which case a rank of 26th might be right but that is his floor. If we see 2024 Darnold he will be ranked about 12.

On one side we see fan excitement that we are actually gointg to compete this year. On the other you see Veges predicting 7.5 wins (an staying there so the betting public think they got it right) and articles like this. I think the truth is somewhere between the two, we could be going something like 13-4 if the offence really fires but we could also be looking at a 7-10. I think mostl likely it is something inbetween, Darnold is a middle of the road QB, we might squeek into the play-offs but have little chance of progressing if we do.
