I would have liked seeing Lynch bash it in down there too, BUT, on the other hand tho, you have to trust Russell Wilson to execute on an UNEXPECTED pass down there every once in awhile.Hawkboi":2vxcbeo0 said:But, throwing a fairly low pass into the hands of a tall defender up close, almost cost us the whole game...I've never been a fan of passing within the 5 yard line...Too easy to throw into close coverage...

Stop the hate on Bevell. It's ridiculous!

Instantly validated the play call. Wilson was inaccurate/hurried into throwing too low, and Tandy made a terrific play on the ball.

I actually think this is a size issue as well. RW is shorter it is a fact. A short pass over the middle with lots of guys simply will be harder for him to see AND it is harder to throw that hard and with enough height to go over the defender but still hit his WR. He is starting the pass lower down and isn't going to get the right trajectory for that pass when a defender makes a great play like that.
Peyton could simply due to stature make the same throw and be succesful because of angels.
This isn't a critcism of RW it is just what it is
Agree with mikeak here and that's one reason why I didn't like the play call. Well, that and the fact that Beast is one of the toughest, strongest RBs in the NFL and you pay the guy to get TDs in these situations. Not gonna change my mind and I'm sure plenty of others won't either. I do know Darryl Johnston and The Goose said the same thing on the broadcast. They are former NFL players. So it isn't just "the fans".mikeak":4v1pnizh said:MontanaHawk05":4v1pnizh said:You can't complain about a play call when it gets a receiver open, even when it's a pass inside the 3. All of that said, I think Bevell called a much better game this week than last....more quick, short patterns and more screens and more running the ball. None the less, I am hoping he is replaced this offseason. I feel he's too inconsistent and seems to adjust to other team's schemes slowly. It's my opinion and expressing opinions are what these boards are supposed to be about.

As an article on Field Gulls mentioned in the days leading up to the game that we had failed, in 38 tries on the season, to run even a single time on third down with between 3 and 7 yards to go.
