Well it appears the Cowboys once again get National Games like they won something, this coming season they will be the marquee team for getting their ass kicked across the country, first the Eagles, then I see KC kicking their ass Thanksgiving.

2025 NFL opener: The Eagles and Cowboys will kick off the season on Thursday, September 4, in Philadelphia, with kickoff at 8:20 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock.

Christmas tripleheader: The NFL will play three games on Christmas, with kickoffs at 1 p.m., 4:25 p.m. and 8:20 p.m. The night game will be in Kansas City, with the Broncos playing the Chiefs.

Super Bowl rematch: The Chiefs will host the Eagles in Kansas City in a Super Bowl LIX rematch. The date has not yet been announced.

NFC Championship Game rematch: The Eagles and Commanders will face off twice in the 2025 regular season. One of those games will be on Saturday afternoon in Week 16.

AFC Championship Game rematch: Chiefs-Bills has become one of the NFL’s best rivalries, and this year is likely to be no exception. They’ll play in the regular season in Buffalo. The date has not yet been announced.

Thanksgiving and Black Friday: Kansas City at Dallas on Thanksgiving afternoon may be the most-watched game of the season. Detroit will also host Thanksgiving as part of their annual tradition, and a prime time game will air on Thanksgiving night. The Lions’ opponents and the two teams playing on Thanksgiving night have not been announced. The Eagles will host the Bears on Black Friday.

International games: The Chargers will be the designated home team in Sao Paulo in Week One, in a game that will stream for free on YouTube. The following six games will be played in Europe, all kicking off at 9:30 a.m. ET:
September 28: Vikings at Steelers in Croke Park in Dublin.
October 5: Vikings at Browns at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.
October 12: Broncos at Jets at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.
October 19: Rams at Jaguars at Wembley Stadium in London.
November 9: Falcons at Colts at Olympic Stadium in Berlin.
November 16: Commanders at Dolphins at Santiago Bernabeu Stadium in Madrid.

I'm not convinced that miles traveled is a good gauge of how much a team has to endure on a road trip. The amount of time in the air varies, but there's the hassle of getting to the airport, checking bags, going through security, boarding, taxi, landing/deboarding, picking up luggage, and checking into the hotel. All of those things are constant no matter how far you fly, and the percentage of the time occupied doing that stuff goes up as the miles go down. The actual flying time is the least stressful of all those other inconveniences.

The reduction of win probabilities for visiting teams increases (gets worse) as travel distance increases, but the change in win probabilities gets smaller and smaller with increasing distance, so 3000 km of travel is worse than 2000 km, but by less than 2000 km of travel is worse than 1000 km.
