Maybe this year's "more aggressive blitzing defense" is still a work in progress, but so far, Seahawks' pass rush looks more like pass flush. Flushing the QB out of the pocket where he either completes a pass to someone who's open, or flushing him out to scramble/run for a nice chunk of yards.
The other team has been able to move the chains a fair amount this way, and such is probably a key reason why all our games except Jax have been close. Maybe this is nothing to be concerned about, but it isn't particularly reassuring to see the opponent's QB be able to vacate the pocket time after time against our D to get some yardage whether via a short/intermediate dump/pass or a scramble/run. I realize our D ranks up there statistically (in some categories), but it is just a bit weird seeing how easily the other QB evades threat in the middle and makes a play off to the side.
That said, KUDOS TO OUR D! Despite the above, they did perform very well today for the most part. I believe Tennessee entered red zone only once against us all day, correct?
