If I'm not mistaken, I think we force an average of like 2.5 per game. Against SF this weekend, I would make the O/U twice that.

I think 5 would be a sensible number and ask those that can attend...PLEASE win this bet for those that bet the over. ; )

I'm thinking 3 false starts, a couple of delay of game penaltys, and about 4 wasted time outs!

If the average is 2.5, it makes sense for the O/U to be 2.5. I'd go with the over, but I certainly don't think it will be five.

By definition, average means ordinary. Hosting the hated 9ers in primetime, while going for a world record, is extraordinary. "Makes sense" for the number to be higher than average. IMO.

I'm hoping for no delay of game penalties. Sounds crazy but hear me out:

You know Harbaugh busted Kaeps ass (figuratively, of course ) all week on getting to the line and getting the play off. Kaep doesn't strike me as overly cerebral, so I am hopeful that when he can't hear himself think, and gets those crazy ass cartoon eyes going again, all he will think about is getting that ball in his hands. Hopefully a turn over or 2 will be the result of that.

That's what I hope...but agree, there will be more than 1 or 2 delay of game penalties. Hopefully they let us play and there won't be many of the 15 yard variety. I'm so excited for Sunday that I'm having trouble focusing on Saturday (at Illinois).

There has been less and less false starts at our stadium the last few years. Teams are doing a better job of holding their water.
The ninners are well coached so I will say only one.

It has nothing to do with coaching. The 12th man has no bearing on the game. Its all a farce.

For false starts, agreed.

And agreed w/ other posters that the question isn't false starts, but delay of game penalties and wasted time outs to avoid delay of game penalties due to all the 9ers shifting and abnormally large playbook on offense.

The 9ers struggle with this stuff in friendly environments (see: last week at home in Green Bay), and will most likely struggle with it much more when they can't hear Kap making adjustments (which is a big part of their offense).

I'm guessing they'll be simlifying this week, but it's still going to be a problem.

I want to see the panic stricken look on Kaepernick's face. At one point you would have thought he was about to cry. :icon_jig:

Anthony Davis is good for 1 on the first drive of every game regardless of venue. My guess? 2 or 3 false starts, 2 or 3 delays 2 or 3 wasted time outs.

I think the ninnies will turn the ball over like crazy regardless of false starts.
