I think he's a good developmental guy, who is about average now, but has massive potential and just needs some time to learn the game. I think he can snatch the starting RG spot from McQ this offseason.

I am seeing a ton of Sweezy hate around here, so thoughts? He is just a 7th round DT-converted rookie, remember that.

Hard to answer this poll since its not about what Sweezy is now, but what he could become. I think he is a bad player now, but has a lot of potential.

Well you can answer what he is now in the comments, like what you did.

Avg now, but with great potential. IMHO, his future may depend a lot on Cable. If the big fella leaves for greener pastures, Sweeze is probably the player hurt the most.

He needs a lot of work. He missed a couple blocks that were key and was run over on the play that Wilson was horse collared. IMO the jury is still out on him as a starter

I'm not bashing any offensive linemen this offseason. I lost count of the number of times this year where Wilson had literally eight completely undisturbed seconds to throw and still couldn't find anyone open. The Falcons game was no exception. O-line is not even remotely the main problem here.

I love how the poll results are flipping us off.

Would have voted for this option but didn't see it: "He's the Golden Tate of the line. Painful, but a couple years from now we'll be glad the coaches kept giving him chances."

Looks promising for a UDFA, but shouldn't have been on the field as much as we was this year.

No O line experience before this year, yet he's playing against the best guys in the world in his sport of choice and winning his share of battles, yeah he loses some but lets be real here. How many guys have been invited to camp that have player on the O line most of their careers and could not beat him out.

He's got a bright future. Didn't answer the poll because of the answers given. But I like Sweezy's potential and think he could be a good contributor.

I would agree with the "he needs a lot of work" camp. I know Pete says he's the most athletic lineman we have, but I'll tell you I've just seen too many instances in a short time of poor pass protection that I'm just not willing to say definitively, "Yep, he's the guy." He got punished in that last game against the Rams against a very good Front 4 ... and I just got through re-watching Wilson's sack at the end of the 1st half. That was Sweezy that Jonathan Babineaux beat (rather easily I might add). So, I say you've got to upgrade the position by bringing in more talent at guard via the draft and let 'em "Always Com-Pete" it out in training camp. If Sweezy honestly wins the job ... fine. But at this point, I'm seeing him as a weak link in an otherwise really good offensive line.

He is a capable run blocker but his pass blocking is a major liability. Needs a lot of work.
