Unless Paul Allen has a cloning machine, NO ONE else can run this system exactly like Wilson does, and anyone brought in to play backup will be unable to duplicate,,SO, Having a Quarterback with a different set of skills, that gives Defenses a different plan of attack to stopping him has merit.IBleedBlueAndGreen":1540egdu said:I'm torn on this. I think it's great to have one of the top five backup quarterbacks in the league on the roster. However, with the way the offense evolved this season I'm not sure that Flynn would be able to run it like Wilson has. If we can get a 3rd, or maybe 4th round pick for him then I'd do the deal. If it is a 5th or lower then thanks but no thanks.
On the other side of it for me is that Flynn was signed to a deal thinking he'd get his first chance to be a starting quarterback. It didn't work out that way and yet from what we hear he was still a great teammate. Part of me would like to see him get the chance to start (that obviously is not happening here) and do well.

Flynn to JVille, Suh to Seattle and MJD to Detroit. I'm sure we can find some partners .... we need a pass rush badly...

What he said was that he is open to trades for Flynn (any good gm should always be open to trades, for ANY player) but that he is very happy with his current QB situation and that he has two great guys in that QB room.
So to just say he is open to trades as if to suggest he is actively searching... That's not quite what he meant.
