May not have been the most gifted athlete to play for the franchise, but I always admired his effort.

I found this out when looking him up. Many may know already, but it was news to me:

"He grew up at times homeless and without food with his parents; his caring mother and his alcoholic and sometimes abusive father until their divorce when he was nine."

Wanted to ask since back then I lived in Niner/Raider territory, does anyone remember why we cut him?
I believe he was cut in 1993. They had drafted Michael McCrary and Antonio Edwards plus the emergence of Michael Sinclair would be my guess as to what contributed to this. Plus that idiot Tom Flores was the HC and GM.

I know another 56 will get the most love...rightfully so...but I appreciated how Hill played the game. I wish we had a young Hill in our LB core now.

Even though he doesn't look like Tiny Lister Jr., and even though he doesn't appear to be cross-eyed, I still thought "Deebo" and that he looks like he just said something like "that's my bike, punk" or "you ain't gonna fight me 'cause you nothin' but a B!+CH TOO!"

Counter to common belief, I never saw him as a bust and think he made decent contributions. Certainly did not live up to the hype of his marketing machine or the excitement of our supplemental draft lottery win.

Bosworth was a 215 pound man trying to play at 245 and his body was never going to hold up. Look at what it did to Lofa, who was much tougher. It’s just not sustainable.
