Just looked at our schedule and did the W/L thing. As of now, I have us at 9-8 and possibly squeaking into the playoffs. I would be more than happy with 10-7 and a WC spot in the playoffs, and thrilled with an 11-6 record.

Most importantly, I just want to feel real hopeful that we're on the way up in the coming seasons.

Not being much of a betting man, I wagered $500 on the over 7.5 for the Hawks. If victorious it pays out a total of $870 iirc.
Of course I had wife’s permission.
Go Hawks

I wish I had the outlook displayed here. I see 7-10.
New coach, a kicker that is going to cost them at least one game maybe two, a few 10am start times.

I guess I'm a bit more cautious. I hope they do have a season of success. I'm just not going into it with big expectations.

I think if a few things break their way the Hawks could go as high as 10-7 or as low as 8-9 but most likely 9-8. Tough road games against the Jets, Niners, Falcons and Lions coupled with several tough home games against the Dolphins, Niners, Bills and Packers. They might steal one of these games and the remaining 9 they should win. Of course it probably won't work that way, they'll win two of the tough ones and lose a should win game. New players, new coaches, new systems may not click right away but could really take hold later in the season.

No doubt, anywhere between 8 and 10 wins won't be a surprise. I'm just expecting improvement, with 2025 being when they take a huge step. Gonna' just enjoy the season and the rollercoaster that it likely will be.

10 wins is my guess. We could see some growing pains and only win 7. Neither would surprise me.

My thinking so far is based upon an impression the whole roster is stronger, especially the DLine and the OLine. This should just leave the question whether the coaching will be improved and there I already sparks of significant genuine improvement. I already think the whole D will make a noticeable jump towards being hard to play against, and last season the O was often far better than the D. So far we have seen mostly just the backups this preseason, but we know the talent that was already here on both sides of the balland have seen some good things from several of the new players added.

Last year was 9-8 but the team underwhelmed at times and were pushed around at times too. I don’t have that sense anymore. At present I’m excited to see this final preseason game but am debating if it will be 10-7 or 12-5 as a fair estimate of a season. Still expect the despised Digits to win the Div but time is running out on them and their window is closing. They squeak out a Divisional win over us but the Hawks make the playoffs and win a game, after that it will depend upon how well the team has come together and whether the OLine can stay healthy. I think they could be special as I truly expect the team to split with SF and beat the hated Rams twice.

My guesstimate:

11- 6

Convincingly win Wildcard game, but lose a close game in the Divisional round. Then are set up for the next season when they will be all in.

The Hawks field a D that is top ten and has some ballers at each level, and maybe a true ROY on the DLine, with some ballhawks and thumpers at the rear.

Not buying the it will take the coaches time to coach their schemes and expect we will be truly happy with the results on the field, as the team’s window opens and the team that many are underestimating proves ready to contend.

Just sayin’

I'm going with the 10-7 prediction, a Wildcard berth, a Wildcard victory and our season ends in the Divisional game. All in all, a great season under a rookie HC.

Dot Net whipping boy prediction... Laken Tomlinson.

10-7. There will be some growing pains I think. Maybe some busts on the the defensive side, but overall there will be no doubt this team is better.

12-5.

Win the division as the Niners somehow implode.
Make the NFC Champs game and lose to ???

The offense will impress many. I think the O-line will do better than most expect and we will see another solid season from Geno with a much better 3rd down conversion rate.

Defense will be a top 10 D with Witherspoon wrecking the game plans of the opponents. The D-line will generate consistent pressure even if they don't rack up the sacks and the secondary will benefit with a bunch of picks.

Wild card team. Mainly as its a first time head coach, oc and dc, new system. There's going to be ups and downs/learning curves.

I'm still saying 10-7 with a very slight chance to be 11-6 with a playoff appearance and maybe a win or two. The Super Bowl however is a different story. I just don't see that quite yet.

Offense and defense will both be better, the defense significantly so. That's at least one game of improvement overall. I expect at least 10-7. The key is our division. Let's face it, the Whiners are the class of the division if not the NFC. If we have a winning record in the division then we could be 11-6.

I predict a playoff berth, not ready to predict how far we'll go there.
