Do you know if Lockette has ever returned kicks? We gotta use that speed for something.

I don't know if he has or not. He hasn't with us. I can't imagine they wouldn't have at least put him back there during the time he was with us to at least see what he can do, and with that assumption, and the knowledge that he never did that for us, I'd have to say there was some part of that aspect that they didn't like. Maybe he isn't great at reading the oncoming defenders and deciding when to run or when to stay. Maybe he just has trouble making clean catches. It's hard to say. Watching the games, it looks relatively easy....catch the ball, run really fast, but there are so many intricacies to the return game.

I figured the same, they must have looked into it at some point. He's just one of those players with all the physical characteristics that can never quite pull it together. I thought he would breakout with the niners, with all the injuries they have at the position.
