I will disagree here.
I think Pete and John proved in their time here they couldn’t handle so well a more vetted roster with rising egos and players wanting their bag and navigating it in such a way where they could make every one happy. As players got older and wiser, they got more complacent to the coaching, to the philosophy, to the culture, etc.
They’re perfect pair IMO to handle a rebuild though, constructing a young and hungry roster that will eventually be more competitive down the road. Once that happens I’m fine with letting them walk and getting the right guys that can handle a more experienced, veteran roster.
