49er fans calling for John Lynch’s head for 4 bad drafts in a row. I doubt it was Lynch’s idea to draft a kicker in the 3rd round. They can’t afford quality or depth because of the high end contracts to old, brittle players past their prime and a $50 million dollar quarterback that makes Tim Rattay look like Dan Marino. What a shit show. 3rd place for the next decade guaranteed for the lowly 69ers

I’m convinced the only reason he and Shanahan have jobs now is lucking into Purdy. The Lance deal should have been the end of them, but they lucked into the Purdy life ring.

Yeah but Purdy ain’t even all that great to begin with. He’s about average to below average. Now they’re paying him $50 million a year. Not sure if that’s considered luck or stupidity.

Shanahan has looked competent with many QB's so I wouldn't call Purdy luck but Purdy does make things easier for them to figure out in terms of roster construction.

Lance was so generationally bad, that he makes Purdy look almost like a HOFer… and they gave up three first rounders for him.

It may be the worst draft move in history.

I have no idea what Purdy is, outside of the Shanahan system, but there is no way that Shanahan and Lynch had ANY clue that he would work so well in the system, or they wouldn’t have waited to draft him.

It took the Niners until January 2025 to achieve the six wins they have now, for which Jones is responsible for five. Thats also the number of regular season games Purdy consecutively won in 2022 after Jimmy G was hurt.

If Purdy loses against the rams and loses another couple of games, my guess is doctors conclude the toe hasn’t healed and ir him so he can just get his surgery now.

I think Shanahan is the type of coach that you can plug basically anyone into your scheme and make it work. He has a sound game plan. They might sneak sneak in and get a 7 seed but we still have half a season yet

Was just telling my buddy the NFC West is no joke. Rams & Niners keep winning.

Seems like there is no let-up if we want to keep up with these guys. Not much room for error.

Divisional games are always important, but this year just seems to hit differently.

We need to bury the Commanders from the get-go tonight.

Do not allow them to hang around.

I got respect for Kyle, I mean the whiners lost their starting QB, lost their 2 best defense players, lost their TE, lost their #1 WR and they are still winning games... I mean where would the seahawks be if we Lost Darnold, JSN, Barner, Big Cat, Ernest Jones?... I mean as much as I hate the whiners I can't say I don't respect them...

That’s what makes the Lance pick so bad. Just how bad do you have to be to not just fail, but to look bad, in Shanahan’s system.

Too bad Santa Clara has the easiest schedule in football this year. But hey, being the 3rd best team in the division is ok.

Hawks
Clams
29ers
In that order.

Here's hoping Hawks are very well prepared with ingenious coaching scrutiny of how best to deal with the Rams both on offense and on defense. (Side note: funny how after facing top-ranked Rams in Week 11, Hawks face last-ranked Titans in Week 12. That'll be a little weird as a Hawk player.)
