Too bad Santa Clara has the easiest schedule in football this year. But hey, being the 3rd best team in the division is ok.

Hawks
Clams
29ers
In that order.
How in the heck could we have the easiest schedule in football when we faced three teams that are 6-2? Easiest schedule in the NFC west, sure

Before the season, it was WELL KNOWN that the Niners had the easiest strength of schedule in the entire NFL.

Come on man, don't act like that wasn't a FACT before the season started. It flat out WAS a fact.

Arizona has the toughest remaining SOS in the NFL
LA has the second toughest
Seattle is 8th
SF is 13th

A lot of this is due to the number of divisional games left.

REMAINING. Wasn't really my point. But arguing with a Santa Clara fan is like clapping with one hand.

SOS is subjective and changes weekly loosely based on last year’s record so it is an easier schedule to an extent. There’s still 9 games so it’ll change more yet

The pre-season rankings were based entirely on last year's results. But there was a glitch. We tied the Ram's record going into the playoffs, all the way down to tie breaker #6. So they win the division and we were second. The Rams went on to win a playoff game before losing, barely, to the Eagles who went on the win the SB.
The preseason rankings came out placing the Eagles way high with the Rams nipping at their heels, while the Seahawks were middle of the pack. The Niners, despite their dismal record last year, were also ranked much higher than Seattle. ? Then the Niners won the first game of the year at Seattle. The Seattle death knoll was in place.
Things have changed during the first half of this season and only now are the pundits and "experts" beginning to account for what they overlooked in offseason acquisitions and early season results. To this point, in my estimation, the Niners have outperformed expectations, but the Rams and Seahawks are again fighting it out for the NFCW top spot with the Rams having a slight statistical performance advantage. Again. But we still play them twice.

Totally. They got lucky early and have had luck in scheduling. I mean who the fk schedules Hawks-49ers week one. Literally the only shot at beating us was a week one game before we’ve established our identity.

The 49ers only shot at beating the Seahawks was at full strength. Which still was not even full strength given Kittle was injured in the 1st quarter, Purdy injured his foot somehwere, and aiyuk was out with an ACL

Aiyuk might not ever play football again and when he played had one good year. Come up with a new excuse man. Your dumb freshman GM signed Turdy to $50 mil a year and now your left holding your sack with your jaw on the floor watching the Hawks explode and add to our Super Bowl roster. Will you be at Levi in Feb when the Hawks hoist another Lombardi?

Who had Seattle winning the division before the season started? I’ll wait
Haven’t won it yet. I had the rams and still do. Matt Stafford is quietly putting together an mvp season and their defense has been playing better than the Seahawks . They have more weapons and better coaching

Purdy injured his toe in the second and went on to throw two ints. AWS gave the Tonges catch a 14 percent chance, and Kyle only took that chance after Moody boinked a field goal. A win is a win, of course, but this was a freak win.

That is the only part of the 49ers that has improved massively since week one, special teams

They don’t have more weapons. Coaching is subjective. I’ll put the Seahawks up against anyone right now
