As it should be. Apparently he wasn’t showing up to team meetings etc.

This was one of the weirdest contract signings ever. They had a deal on the table all summer. Aiyuk never took it. 49ers had a deal to trade him to Pittsburgh and in the 11th hour shanahan rushes in to cancel it

Then both sides seemed like they regretted it and aiyuk blew out 3 ligaments in his knee

It would have been nice if they had traded him from the hop and had draft picks to show for it , but at least he won’t be on the books for next year

Seems like a stupid move on aiyuks part because he is probably going to have to take a one year “prove it” deal with a knee that is likely not going to be what it once was

Aiyuk has made a terrible business decision by effectively voiding his contract. If a player on the 1st year of a big money 4-year extension decides he wants out there's a big red flag over both player and organisation. Either that player has Antonio Brown-like problems or there is something highly negative going on inside the team, (and most likely with the senior coaching staff).
