No worries, our ownership read the dot net and heard everyone's frustrations over GeNO. Please rest assured that Geno will be gone soon, and we will rock with Howell for 2025. We may also sign Justin Field as suggested by ApplyHawk to provide some competition to Howell.

Hey Field might not work out in Chicago and Pittsburg, but those teams didn't have Grubb, did they?
Not saying Fields would ever work out but you do see the irony in backing Geno a twice failed QB at two other teams and mocking Fields as a possibility right?

Brady Henderson did say that Grubb had to convince MM that he'd be able to shift away from the pass-heavy skew he had at Washington to call a more balanced NFL offense.
Was that speculative on 710 or actually sourced?

So we get rid of the OC, then we need new lineman that can block, new RB's that can do what that OC wants, new QB since Geno isn't going to be they type of guy he wants to build a Offense around.

Yep stay the course, rotate guys all over and never have any consistency or familiarity with each other again, oh and JSN, well he will sit and rot on the vine waiting for an offense that will use him and DK correctly again.

I’m not sure that’s true. He calls plays that allows Geno to check out of them based on the D. And Geno keeps wanting to pass
QBs make checks when they see a look that OC has setup the check for. If Geno was making checks that were going against the OCs wishes, we'd hear about it. There would be leaks and speculation all over the place. He doesn't have nearly enough equity to pull that off or even attempt it, specially with his high INT number. That's what Rogers was doing to the new guy after Macarthy. I forget his name but he wanted to run the ball and AR was checking out of stuff and basically freelancing. It was leaked constantly throughout that first season that there was a power struggle between them.

Not many QBs even with that much clout pull that crap.

I liked what Grubb did today. Sort of felt like he was coaching for his job. If he’s not fired Monday he’s staying.

He was the OC on a 10-7 team, I don't think he needs to go anywhere, he had ups and downs, but he has shown he can lead this offense and put is right where many of us thought. Relax people.

I would say how many of those 7 losses were all on the offense?

Maybe 3 or 4 at most??

The defense was also pretty awful in those 7 losses as well.

It’s easy to say Seattle did not the ball well in the losses they had but it’s often overlooked that Seattle did not hit its defensive stride either.

Seattle didn’t play cohesive and consistent defense, but, let’s blame the offensive coordinator because he needs to score 30 to 40 points every game for Seattle to win games.

Listen, Grubb, wasn’t perfect by any stretch, but Seattle struggled on defense as in stretches of this season and has to be held equally responsible.

I just heard from my sources that Grubb will be let go after this season. Ultimately it was the pre snap penalties that never got fixed as the year went on that was the deciding factor.
Dammit, you have a weekly zoom call with JS and MM too? They lied to me then, telling me it was exclusive for me, to reward a long-time fan!

None of us are privy to the behind the scenes conversations between MM and Grubb. Was Grubb trying to implement schemes that the players wouldn't or couldn't perform? Or did Grubb, with the best of intentions going into the games, revert to what he is used to?

I don't know the answers to those but Macdonald seems to be all about real accountability. Personally I hope that Grubb sticks around and has a successful run as our OC, but I'm happy with whatever Macdonald decides.
MMac just spent a year training Grubb, he did show some learning, I hope and expect to see a "much better" Grubb who has spent the offseason studying Ben Johnson and other successful OCs and conspiring with JS and MM to get the players needed to run things like Johnson does.

People have to have a scapegoat and a place to congregate with their torches and pitchforks, it happens EVERY year! Somebody's head needs to roll and it's just an outlier to our society today.

Daboll, Stefanski and Steichen are all safe. Doug Pederson is available, but rumor has it that he might just retire.

If we haven't heard anything yet I think he's safe. He's not going anywhere.

and if I'm wrong I will delete this to save the embarrassment. :)

Unless the relationship between Grubb and Mcdonald became really bad I highly doubt they would immediately fire him.
They have an evaluation period after each year. I imagine that is when those things are decided.
Personally I think he gets another year and I have no problem with it.
